Fund for placement was transfer by FBX? or first transfer to BIMB Saving Account and subsequently did the placement ?

FPX, transferred from Maybank directly.

Yes, it seems not possible. Initially I transferred the fund from MBB to BI to place a FD but it was greyed out. So, I transferred back the money to my MBB account and did it again on the BIMB app, then it works.

Anyway, I sent a ticket to Be U team via their app to ask about the transition thingy and also what happens to those without BIMB account. My sis and friend do not have BIMB account.

This is their reply:
Thank you for reaching out to us and for your thoughtful questions. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify the transition and address your concerns.

Be U is currently in the process of transitioning to Bank Islam’s flagship digital platform, BIMB Mobile. This transition will take place in phases over the coming months.

At this stage:
• Existing Be U customers can continue using the Be U app as usual.
• There is no requirement to log in to BIMB Mobile using your current Be U credentials, as the migration has not yet taken place.
• A new account registration on BIMB Mobile is not required at this point. Clear instructions will be shared once the migration process is confirmed.

TD‑i Advance 2026 Campaign
While the TD‑i Advance 2026 campaign is scheduled to run until 30 April 2026 (I assume it was a typo should be 30 June 2026), new TD‑i placements under Be U have been temporarily halted as part of the transition process. This explains the message you encountered indicating that deposits are currently unavailable.

Please be assured that:
• Any existing TD‑i accounts that have not yet matured will remain unaffected.
• Your current TD‑i placements, including profit rates and maturity term s, will continue to be honoured in full.

Should You Install BIMB Mobile Now?
You are welcome to explore and install the BIMB Mobile app if you wish. However, please note that there is currently no linkage between Be U accounts and BIMB Mobile, and your Be U balances will not yet appear there. No action is required from you at this time. Once the migration details are finalised, we will communicate:
• Whether any action is needed from customers
• How accounts and existing products (including TD‑i) will be handled

All updates will be shared through our official channels, including email, in‑app notifications, and our website.

No, it won't work like that. You need to open a BIMB SA if you urgently want to place any FDs now or wait till the transition is done.
