This rate very similar to CIMB Singapore. Malaysia FD rate used to be double of Singapore FD, but now we are at par

If I want to put FD in PB islamic (18 months) via FPX, do I need to open PIB islamic saving accounts or the conventional account is good enough?

I only have PB CC with them and do not have any saving accounts with Public Bank.

You need to have the option to choose the lslamic FD account. The fpx will create a new islamic FD cert for you.

So you need to open islamic account. Just tell the officer you want to put 18 months 4.5%

And insist that they create that account for free for you.

I have 2 e-fd maturing today with Maybank - one was for 5k and the other 18k.

When i tried to uplift, it says please authenticate with Secure verification through the MAE app. I got a message on my mobile to approve the transaction. Tried to approve but the MAE app kept spinning (looks like MAE app has hung). Tried a few times but MAE doesn't want to open.

This is real shitty as i have a lot of short term fd with MBB. I tried restarting my phone several times but cannot get the MAE app to open so that i can approve the transaction.

Pull your socks up MBB!!

Not very happy!

I really don't like the MAE app. I have zero money in the account. Wonder if I can delete it and go back to normal Maybank2u app?

I rang up Maybank customer service and they indicated there were problems this morning. Told me everything is rectified now and to un-install and re-install app.

App is now working.

Wasted so much time!!

mae app not just for mae account/card

it can view other maybank cards or casa too.

yes, feel free to use normal m2u app, however, there is a plan to deprecate old m2u app and eventually forced to MAE app

Maybank Will Eventually Phase Out Maybank2u App, Will Be Replaced By MAE

RHB app is even worse. The "approve/disapprove' notification does not even appear! How to withdraw the efd?
