Just put 4.5 6m Islamic with cimb queensbay. Otc

CIMB 6 mth 4.5% no monthly interest. 12 mth 4.4% got monthly interest. Both Islamic FD, min 10k.

Today RENTAS fund from HL to Bank Islam (BI).

Went to BI to place their 2 yrs step up FD of average 4.65%. Got the cert the same day. About 30 minutes from opening of FD account to getting the cert. Interest every 3 months.  Got a diary as gift

FD shown in online account already. Was told their PB is only 100k, so now their PB already. 

Yesterday went to MBB to withdraw FD, again get BC totally FOC, not even RM0.50 charge for the cheque. 

Moved to AmBank Islamic 12 mth 4.35%. This was asked previous day, however was told on Tuesday the rate came down !! So the ABM has to contact HQ for approval. Waited for few minutes, finally got through.

For FD renewal heard can only get 4.25% yesterday in AmBank.

So it seems AmBank is like CIMB, becoming dynamic on FD promo rates.

For the AmBank 12 mth 4.38%, it is through the branch Assit BM. U can try your RM to request.

Their promo is 4.35% for 12 mth. So with higher amount, of say >100k, u can ask RM or BM to try getting higher rate.

But as compared to BR or others, the move from 4.35 to 4.38% is not that high.
