Can't wait to know what is the T & C for it though I don't think I have enough maturing FDs to move over there to be eligible for PB.

OK, the CIMB 4.15% is for their PB customer. The BM need to get approval from HQ first. I met with the CIMB BM. She seems to send email to HQ for approval while I wait for the PB queue number. Then she went with me to the PB/FD placement room and informed the staff there on the 4.15% rate. Min 10k will do.

No other promo from CB. Just found out CB gives zero interest for NZ and Aus dollar time deposit since last year Sept.

Did u ask Citigold RM for the FD promo ? I heard it is until end of March on the FD 4.88% and 9.99% as mentioned by me. I took up both packages.

Citibank is not in the market to compete on FD rates as my RM proudly said. Hahaha. But foreign time deposit has other factors involved.

hi how does one become a PB member for most of the banks? depends on placement amount in that particular bank? need request to be one or they will invite to be their PB member? thanks

RM 250K in CIMB, minimum.

Used to be RM150k about 5 years ago, I just deposited 1 year FD. I was enjoying regional lounge access for years until they changed the preferred card and suddenly I cant use my card anymore.

not a PB member now, intend to do a 100k fd, how much should I expect from Cimb? any shorter duration fd promotion?

just found out about hsbc 3m @ 4.88, not bad, min 100k though

You have to be their PB to enjoy that. AUM 200k. Kind of similar to Citigold offer of 3 mth 4.88% which I took up 2 weeks ago.

Also need to get HSBC credit card ! Unlike Citigold offer.

Holy shit, I just closed my CIMB PB account in Jan, because the RM keep pushing me to apply the CIMB Preferred Visa infinite CC for my preferred account. Arghhh, 4.15 FD fly.
