back from MBSB and BIMB today. whole day spending times at these 2 banks.

1) placed mbsb 12mth @ 4.48%. due to joint-account, arduous process to fill forms for SA and FD.

opened BSA with passbook. no atm/dc. internet banking coming this year. upon maturity, all goes into SA.

2) bimb 24mth @ 4.65% (Go7). also joint-account, simplified registration at CS counter (filled signature slips, and personal info slip, not even full form), staff processed mostly on PC. some basic Q&A, nothing alarming. longer time when doing actual placement at counter.

opened wadiah/BSA with passbook. didnt take debit card without fee, no use for their SA/internet banking. worry later upon maturity to visit and withdraw. no issue to me.

Your recent new FD placement also they do it for you ?

I asked the Penang island branch 3 days ago, they said they used to do the transfer for customers. But the interest for the new FD products are required to be deposited to SA.
*
latest was on 7.3.2019 , they still agree to bank in to MBB.
I do not plan to open MBSB SA.

Wow, running 2 places and spent whole day....put all in same place would save half day..
i dont think PIDM would ever be required within 1 -2 yrs

I took the BIMB SA and debit card to have online access to 3 monthly interest.

Can uplift no problem.

Cannot cash out beyond 20k. Also need to ensure signature is in their system otherwise they will contact the original branch for verification which will take some time.

Can uplift and deposit all into account for any amount.

Cannot take cash >20k. Can transfer from account 50k.

So total max for withdrawal can possibly do is 70k=20k cash+50k transfer

Or buy cashier order.

It only provides quarterly renewal and what 18m are you asking about?

Isn’t it supposed be 24m?

If you’re free, go change the cert every three months or just go back after it matures.

Can see online for the renewal status and interest credited to account every 3 months
