New update, Hong Leong Bank has increase their FPX fund transfer limit to RM200K, see picture attached.
*
QUOTE(wwloon @ Jun 23 2019, 09:35 PM)
Any idea which bank allows RM200k fund transfer OUT via FPX then? So far, the highest limit I encountered is only RM50k.
*
LOL not familiar wih FPX. But if money is in Bank X which only allows say rm50K only for outward transfers, how then to transfer RM200K to HLB? Or does it not matter what Bank X's limit is?

I just placed 4.23% for 15 months yesterday at the conventional Affin Bank branch but under islamic account.
However, it was very slow and long wait as I was told every 1st of the month many people open new bank accounts there.
*
I hv conventional fd there but no islamic. Did you have to open additional islamic savings account? And did you have to put in 10% into CASA?

As for customer service, my experience is not good. Normally only 2 staff working & damn slow - not even crowded. Notice each customer they take at least 30mins dry.gif

Do take note there are 2 promotions in affin for 15 months FD, ie.
1. 15 months 4.23% islamic FD
- Islamic savings account is required to be opened and 90:10 is not really required as some has reported slightly differing conditions.
- I managed to withdraw all the money in the savings account except for about RM 300+ in it a day after placing the FD

2. 15 months 4.48% conventional FD - 90:10 is required and the 10% must be left in the account for the full 15 months
10% CASA is for the 15 months 4.48% promo FD as explained above
It should be able to be used as long as is not an islamic account.

thank you thumbsup.gif

QUOTE(BoomChaCha @ Jul 3 2019, 04:29 PM)
Oh...I have Affin 4.3% 24 months with every 6 months interest payment to my affin saving
and this 4.3% FD will mature this month. I am thinking to renew it with Affin 4.23% too...

Yes, uplift to saving account at least can earn some interest from saving account if you are late to
withdraw your FD..

Thanks.. thumbup.gif

I once had a 1mth cert with Affin that matured on a Saturday. When I went to uplift on Monday, I was surprised to get extra interest for Sunday. Didn't ask them though LOL Anyone else experience this?

You're lucky service is good over in Penang. I so far been to 3 outlets in Klang Valley and all are not good. There was a time I even highlighted to them how come only 1.5 counters opened when there are like 10 customers waiting in queue? They say nothing much they can do. The 0.5 counter is because most of the time that counter is not calling numbers and there is even someone sitting on the 3rd counter and not calling numbers at all.
*
The branch i go to only has 2 staff attending to customer transactions & this is a double shoplot "big" branch - uneffingbelievable huh? I noticed that for new FD customer, one staff will tend to the filling in of forms etc & after that is done, the customer has to go to the other staff to make the deposit. Seriously doh.gif

did FD at Affin 4.23% @15mths this morning both bank side by side yet have to spend RM2.65 for bank cheque from Ambank.
*
If next door only, ask for cash withdrawal, before walk out look left look right, no suspicious characters around quickly dash into bank next door. biggrin.gif 2.65 considered cheap, some bank charge 5.90 dry.gif

With 4.25% eff rate, looks like the best there is now smile.gif too bad only 6m but still ok la

I read the T&C which says CASA portion goes to a Primewin Casa-i account. That means we transfer or bank in minimum 30K to our **existing Savings account & open new Primewin savings account. Then from existing savings account instruct bank to transfer to FD & new primewin s/a, right?

** those of us who took up the 2 years 4.5% promo should have an existing SA smile.gif

Long time no do eFD with Hong leong.

If I have FD mature in other bank, do i transfer to my Harvest SA first & then place eFD online from my Harvest? Or should I straight away move the money from other bank via FPX or online transfer?

Please advice me, Thanks smile.gif

Your work is awesome & very much appreciated!

Can you pls provide a link to your original post that explained your p0m24 etc coding system. I'm sure many will ask you every now & then ... Perhaps the best way is to put that link in your signature that will appear automatically in all your posts. TQ

MBSB Bank internet banking is available since May. Just apply a debit card at any branch then can register for online banking. However the maximum transfer limit is just RM9,000 per day.
*
Anyone has any tip how to overcome this ridiculously low 9k limit per day? Have an FD mature today & wondering if there's any way to move it out other than paying for a bankers chq

Got this message when I tried to do a eFD placement from my savings acct (all in Affin online). Anyone know what this is about & how to register?

AffinSecure is their app which  you download and install on handphone. Need it to approve transactions amount 10k and above. It's a real pain .
I have never once had a successful transaction made via this app since it's inception ranting.gif

If you want try... a tip for you.
After you dl the app, you need to go to affin online( nOt the app itself) and register to obtain a 10 digit pin code. Use this code to then enter at the phone app.

Thanks.

Just went to Affin Online on my computer to register. Their FAQ said "2. Set your 6-digit AffinSecure PIN at Settings -> AffinSecure Registration -> Register "

But when I went to register, they ask me for Card # & Card Pin.... My savings account is the Basic one without ATM card .... Looks like I'm fcuked ... did I do anything wrong ? When i opened the account with this bank, I said I only want online banking & dun wan the ATM card & they say can no problem LOL

So I have to go get an ATM card?

The effective rates for this promo is nothing to shout about BUT the ability to partial withdraw is a good feature. Maybe I should go with this instead of Affin LOL

6. For the purpose of this Promotion, all New Funds must be placed and deposited into the Customers’ Participating FD Accounts and Participating CASA within seven (7) days of the transfer of the New Funds into the FD/FD-i and CASA/CASA-i of the Customers.
Only thing is the mechanics of transferring funds from other banks to HLB. I have a Harvest S/A & some FD there... do I transfer say the minimum 55K to my Harvest & from there place 50K into a Participating FD and leave 5K in my Harvest?

No, placement with cheque is counted on the date u placed the cheque and NOT cheque clearance date.

This save work from travelling to and fro from Bank A and B.

Last time I put into MBSB using cheque, they dated my cert on the day I gave them the cheque. Only thing is they said collect the cert after checque clear.

Btw, MBSB got good rate now?
