But for life, investment linked, medical card insurance is sill pretty much a hardsell and push product....the sales majority is conrtobute by those top agents...

It's not 1M sales la... if I remember correctly, for 2016 it's about RM500k in collected premiums.

But you are correct, the income depends on the commission structure, some are 35%, some 25%, some 10%, some just dump their own money into insurance company's unit trust kaw kaw to achieve MDRT but commission 2% only.

Income/commission also different between the lowly agent to the agency managers, so can't guess the income unless more info provided .

There is no short cut in life. Anyway MDRT is supposed to be a branding for insurance agent but some have gamed it so that they are MDRT but no solid income one.

But those solid MDRT, 55% commission for leaders is RM275k (assume RM500k is the criteria for MDRT). That is still income level above many. Even for those first year agents who achieve a solid MDRT, income is about RM200k (40% commission). Not bad compensation for those who work hard.

My fren not even MDRT also earn solid rm8k/month liao.. this year she got bonus rm19k

Commision based.. she started in 2014, 1st year commision rm4k, 2015 also rm4k, so in 2016 total around rm8k/month.. this year shes a bit slow only around rm3k.. so next year her commision shud be around rm9-10k (plus minus)

Bonus got if u achieve certain target.. actually she shud get rm25k but final amount rm19k..
