I think aftermarket high speed fan only helps if your radiator is not in good condition (partially plugged) and the thermostat is always full open to achieve maximum cooling. Else, it might cause engine to run below optimum temperature if the thermostat is stuck (it cannot close in to reduce cooling from radiator). Oh, and the noise from high speed fan is irritating.
