Photography 35mm vs 28mm lens, how to differentiate both ?

i have a lumix FX01 , and i would need to know what is the difference between the 28mm lens and 35mm lens , i tried google on it but no result come out , i need it more in layman terms from sifus over here .
btw , another thing i want to ask is . lumix fx series is the lens comes out from the body , how does it compare to those camera like sony T10 , nikon ...where the lens is inside the body .

Try the 'focal length comparison tool' at Tamron's website. Choose the "35mm Film" option, not the "Digital" option. http://www.tamron.com/lenses/learning_cent...-comparison.php
