For the 50% discount for 1st home buyer, have been amended to 100% fully exempted for the 1st RM300k, subsequent RM1 will be charged at 2% for the property below RM500K. Example if you buy RM400K property, your stamp duty will be 2K only (400K-300K)x2%. It will take effect from 1 Jan 2017. So everyone please hold this 2 weeks not to sign any SNP until 1 Jan 2017
