Yeah I actually tried overclocking and benchmark, and it is a beast, especially when watercooled

Watch how a gtx 980ti OC beat Gtx stock 1080 :
Gtx1080 stock : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQPLkNNw54o
Gtx 1070 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mqfc-KInY-k
Palit Gtx 980ti OC : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEhtSPgr6ls&t=123s this is just 1500mhz . And it's limit on air cooling . Water cooling can oc till 1550mhz which a lot says win an 1080

Well it is a good card. But an overclocked gtx 1080 can surely beat an overclocked 980ti. Also, Pascal is more efficient. But in terms of pure gaming performance, gtx980 ti is similar or better than gtx 1070.

Guys pls chill. I think it's safe to assume that 980ti is on par with 1070, and some cases better. Pls kindly dun argue in my sales thread. Pls discuss this in appropriate subforum. However, I do appreciate the enthusiasm.

Anyway, thanks for the interest and the free bump

if u see the strix oc results is clocked on 2,114 MHz, where the Strix factory OC model is base clock 1632mhz, and OC mode is 1860Mhz. The results shown this is a Strix OC - OCed to the max. But the results , fps, still lower than 980ti. There's alot ppl out there says a 980ti OC @ 1550 Mhz will beat a gtx 1080. I cant do it coz im not using water cool. TS card is water cool and if he can OC to 1550mhz , i want to see is it really beats a 1080. Beside that i clocked mine 1500mhz playing on Duex Ex benchmark already win extra fps on a stock 1080. why it's not possible ?
