Haha yes. It does tend to get bulky and no place to display over time. But once you setup proper shelfing and display for it, it is quite a satisfying personal achievement. In the end, it is in the eye of the collector what he believes is worth the effort and time.

QUOTE(NixiN-7hieN @ Feb 8 2017, 05:17 PM)
Hmm, not sure if I should put this cause most people I talk to think I'm crazy. Well, I think I'm half-crazy as well.

The reason I collect is because I want to build a library in the future. Like how books are seen as acceptable to have a room and library dedicated to them, I feel that games should be allowed to be treated the same way. So I'm buying older games and chronicling them in a blog.

However, I do hope that me saying this doesn't make people feel the need to charge a "collector" more money for the games that they don't want anymore because you are a "collector".
*
Nothing crazy about it bruh. As long its your own hard earn money and you buy within your financial capability means, other ppl don't have any dicktate say over it.

This guy for example collected all Wii games as collectors edition. Perhaps one day someone will post that he bought all PlayStation games (ori)?

All will be a stretch. 60% of all the exclusive/one-off games I'll be happy already. Unless someone is willing to help fund me.

I remember the day I decided to sell off my collections, It was the most painful decision ever to let them go. Some at extremely below market price too.

My TLOU collectors Edition with Ellie and Joel statue and Ni No Kuni Collector's Edition, all went out cheap! cry.gif

But I lazy to goreng. At least pass the joy to the next collector guy biggrin.gif

Yeah, to me if someone really appreciate the collection I'm OK with giving it away for free.

Free is too generous la. We have to cover our expenses too. biggrin.gif

But honestly I have never seen yet a person who collects PlayStation games in a massive scale and make it into a library. PS1 and 2 ori games pretty much is out of the question because of our pirate era. But I think starting from PS3 and 4 era, it would be quite an impressive collection to see. Plus PS3 and 4 games casing and product are quite durable. No issue to get old games stocks easily at low price too.

But this is hard to achieve, coz its like buying each game when they are launched. Wallet koyak man. sweat.gif

I have myselfa good collection of figurines. Some are rare, but all were my favourite. I have to sell them away because I was being transferred to work somewhere else, not knowing if keeping them inside boxes for years would actually maintain the condition of the figurines.

The decision to sell was tough, but had to be. I'm still buying CE though, only selected games which I think is worth.

Haha, we all have to let go sometime I guess.

Nice game figurine collection bro. Too bad they didn't launch Xenosaga with Thelos and Kosmos in any collector's edition. Not sure if there was a collector's edition for Xenosaga during PS3 days. Just standard edition game?

Personally I wish they include better quality items into the collector's edition. blush.gif

There was one for Episode 1 & 2, it had KOS-MOS figurine. But it was only available in Japan. This was a time back in the early 2000s when Westerners were still in the mindset not to get any extra merchandise/weebo stuff for their games. Changed in PS3/Xbox 360 era once publishers like Ubisoft and Activision found out how much fans are willing to pay for useless (my opionion) crap.

Also... holy *censored*

Should check out the rest of the stuff he has, not just Xenosaga stuff. Quite envious.

I wish Namco would release an HD remake of Xenosaga trilogy. Ep 1 was story drive, full of cut scenes but lack gameplay. Ep 3 was back to traditional JRPG while ep 2 was caught in between.
Overall it was an excellent addition to the JRPG era. I was skeptical when they dropped Yasunori Mitsuda, but it turned out to be the best.

Haha I know the feeling.

After so many years in the collector's circle, I have learned not to be envious, but admire these hardcore people's collection.

Its the same, when you have lots of collection to share, the last thing you want is a crowd of angry ppl who are jelly and plotting against you. So my style is every time I see a person with massive impressive collections, I will give this dude/girl a pat on the back with a "WTH, good job man. lol", "how the heck do you do it? xD"

And hope one day kharma returns to me with ppl patting me on the back on my stuff. (Fair trade) Kharma can be a beach or angel, depends on how we treat it laugh.gif

Despite i did find it hard to really like Xenosaga series due to the design and game in overall, (expectation coming from Xenogears..), I was still keen to find out more on Xenosaga collectors item and its games edition.

Did Xenosaga collectors edition came with the toys with joints? I know i can google this easily, but since you all collectors masuta (マスター) are here, you guys can be our walking google biggrin.gif

Actually, even if you were to Google, not much info out there. This was back in 2001 for some reason all the pictures at the time sucked. Not enough broadband penetration.

But anyways, the limited or premium editions for Episode I came with a Kos-Mos action figure, hard to tell if the joints worked (cause not many people opened the toy case) but the arms should move enough for her to carry her weapons.

For Episode II, it came with two Kos-Mos, one on her own and another on the bike. This one seems less articulated but again, like back then. Not many took photos or did video unboxings. Now too expensive to want to think about opening.

I say expensive... but then there are these.

I only know of a figma KOS-MOS, not sure if it generalised to the rest of the CE.
Anyways, the team in Monolith was responsible for Xenogears back in Squaresoft age. When they jumped ship to Namco, basically they cannot transfer the Xenogears IP along. Xenosaga was supposed to be a direct prequel, but yet so distant that no link can be objectively seen.

Yeah, I like Shion and Kos-Mos but they are not Elly. So kinda gave up and went to .hack instead.

Also the realistic faces of Episode II threw me off completely.

Nice, I wish I had more limited edition Uncharted stuff but I think my issue is that I'm not a particular fan of any one series. So it's hard to focus all my efforts into one series or genre.
