This is what i have learnt from sending my car to Ampower Motorsport in setapak. Aside from checking externally, its best to jack up the car. Alot of tell tale signs can be seen if the car has been abused or if it is an accident car. Signs like rusted metal, gearbox leakage, gear linkage, worn out bushes, dents and even weld marks (which could possibly mean it is a joint car).

Aside from that check the engine thoroughly, make sure it is the engine that is claimed by the seller.

There are also many parts that may be claimed by the seller but you cannot see without opening the car up for example cams, pistons, clutch components.

Best is to bring to a honda specialist for thorough checking to ensure confidence.

jackin up the car is one of the best method. most effective too.
other den that, if u open up any civic hood. u will see like those paper punch hole on the chassis. and they are meant to be in CIRCULAR SHAPE n no cement marks on them. if u see it out of shape, most likely it kena an impact b4.

another one is, if u remove the bumper, u can actually see the bottom hidden part of the chassis covered by the bumper. tats another spot.

and near the door panel. around the whole thing its suppose to be a smooth all out feel. no welding or wat so ever.

hope our guide help, best bring ur technician n check.

internal hidden parts are hardest to check like engine internal parts & hidden.
do like jfd sed, bring some guy there to check biggrin.gif

Alright. This week and next week should be good. After that got to get ready for exams and put an end temporarily, to this endless vtec madness. hehehe laugh.gif

Nice nice, hope Jackie joins us. Go go go! I think he fancies 99 spec more. It looks really good on a 4 door. Color of choice would be white, black or yellow.

Haha, bet if u DID have the money you'd probably go for a turbo. Like a boxer or maybe an RB!?!? hehe... S2000 is a pure enthusiast car because of its price bracket in Mesia. Like the Ae86.

Transplant more than year already. Also didn't put any silicone on the mounting. Anyway, it's done and now not so jerky already. biggrin.gif

Look what I also bought. Ori EG6 clock, amber color! Just love the color. thumbup.gif
After seeing kingnoss's clock, I just couldn't resist. tongue.gif

Anyone knows what steering is this? It's made in Italy. I never heard of this brand. Is it good? I got this from chopshop also.

EDIT: Ok, just found this on the web. This is the one I got. Tomei sport steering

Finally, I also DIY my rims cap. Now it's black in color. Ofcoz, this one is egiewan recommendation. tongue.gif Maybe later I will snap an overall look during daytime to show the overall outcome look.

moon*,
I used to drive a 96-spec 4-door EK wink.gif
Had always wanted a 99-spec one. But i'm also open to 2-door one although it's slight impractical if i were to take it for family outings.. but i think the City will be fine for that laugh.gif

Should be viewing some rides soon.
