All, I had this experience.

Initially I'm Maxis surfmore 50 postpaid user for quite few years.
During last October 2016, Maxis staff called me about going to Maxis Oneplan 98 with more data and data shared quota etc.

My initial thought is "No, I don't need it" but then I asked further whether I can revert back to Surfmore50 after I felt is too expensive and not much usage to me, the staff say "yes you can revert back and there's no contract to it"

So since there's a flexibility there, I say "yes" and have a try see if I can utilize everything. After 2 months felt that I'm paying more and the data usage is not utilized much, I decided to call 123 and revert back to surfmore50. The staff told me the plan not available anymore and the lowest is "98".

I felt so angry and cheated because indirectly they are migrating me to a more expensive package. If the initial call they told me about "no you cannot switch back", my answer directly will tell them a "NO".

More updates, they told me I change my plan on 7 Oct and end of Oct surfmore50 no longer available.

Questions to them:
1. Do surfmore50 users receive announcement on the expiry?
2. Such short period of timeframe, what it means for them? Migrate as many surfmore users to oneplan98.
3. Such short period of time, they shouldn't advise me I can revert back to old plan. They should have say "you have this X period to decide whether to revert back or not."

So for existing surfmore users, don't change plan unless you think is very necessary.

Yup, U can switch your plan anytime. If the plan is still "available".
I think they purposely make this offer, when the surf more 50 promo is about to end.
Well, I expect nothing less from them.
