Basically CC6 is cheaper than UC6. I can't tell you the price as it varies based on tyre sizes.

On a CT E-spec. Should be same as yours. biggrin.gif

Actually CC6 is really a good tyre for comfort and silent. The price is also acceptable. Much worth it compared to XM2.

Handling I got no comments as I don't drive fast anymore. Under normal driving condition, it is acceptable.

100-110km/h on highway on clear day and ~60-70km/h on rainy days consider normal driving condition ah?

Using XM2 for 2.5years
CC6 for 1month

XM2
+ last really long, at 30k km there is no sign of wearing out, still looks very new.
+ rolling resistance also great
+ Grip is good on dry and wet, cuts puddle of water easily
+ No comment on cornering, i don't corner at high speed, but i'm confident on it
- it is much more exp than CC6
- Low rolling resistance usually has stiffer sidewalls and harder tyre threads, certain rough roads (like the MRR2 ampang area) really transfer the vibrations throughout my whole car

CC6
+ cheap, bought for rm120 each for 195/55/15 lazada
+ eats bumps and road imperfections
+ more silent than xm2
- softer sidewalls, cornering may feel unstable
- looks like a "fat" tyre, doesn't look sporty
- can feel the car slows down or feeling got resistance when driving through puddle of water
- unknown wear, same with other continentals, i believe it won't last long

based on my usage where i don't speed and drive fast and i drive about 15k km a year, CC6 is my choice.

Can consider Yokohama blue Earth es32.
Eco tyre just like xm2.
It replaced the Xm2 on my old myvi. Xm2 lasted 50k km. Tread pattern was getting cut up and very noisy near the end.
FC was 10km per litre.
The Yokohamas lasted also about 50k km before i swapped 2 of the most worn first.
Despite their bigger width and size because i changed wheels from the stock 14 inch to lighter 15 inch alloys, the FC was above 12 km per litre.

I've used XM2 previously and now CC6. All I can say CC6 is the better choice due to its price, comfort and noise reduction as compared to XM2.

Handling wise, XM2 will be better due to its harder compound.

Would the handling diff too much? Using xm2 for years. Considering cc6 or stick with xm2

If you don't push the car hard during cornering, you won't feel any difference.

If you are the driver that likes to drive smoothly, then CC6 is for you.

Since you're replacing tyres base on 3 year usage, don't bother with XM2 .... you may donate the difference to an old folks home.
Besides , you are wasting natural resources.

Considering this 2 tires also.

If we dun take account into the price, which will be the better tires? Purely on performance and quality of tire. Not about cost.

If you do notice that, it seems like tread wear in CC6 is 380 and XM2 but different size is having 420 tread wear. I wonder if we can use this number to judge how hard the compound is going to be biggrin.gif

As the number goes higher means it can wear even longer.

Technically speak... yes.. The higher the number means it is more durable which correlates to a harder compound tyre.

This is evident that CC6 is softer than XM2.

Honestly, 420 thread wear rating is too high. I can't even wear out my previous XM2 thread to below 50% and the tyre is already 6 years old. That is why I decided to go for CC6.
