Hi.
Amp Head : Line 6 HD150 (Output 8 ohm)
Cab: Randall RX412 (4x12) (8 ohm setiap 1) (Parallel)

Harap membantu..

Hi.
Two 8-Ohm speakers wired in series will be 16 Ohms, or if wired in parallel will be 4 Ohms.

You should be concerned about how many Watts each of your speakers can handle.

Your Line 6 (Spider III, or Spider IV?) HD150 should have stereo (Left & Right, 8-Ohm each) outputs. If the individual speakers in your cabinet can handle 150W (not likely), you would be able to connect them directly to the individual 8-Ohm stereo outputs on the amplifier. Hopefully you don't damage your speakers as you increase the amp volume (since your speakers are likely not suited to handle 150W).

Spider iv Hd150..yup...left n right 8ohm each..
Speaker on randall cab hnya 50w sebiji.
Selamat tak kalau saya wiring series jd 16ohm for 2 speaker driver and receive 8 ohm from amp output ?

Thanks for feedback...

Disclaimer: I have little experience with the Line 6 HD150 amp apart from occasional usage previously (usually a Spider III HD150).

From my understanding, both the amplifier's 8 Ohm outputs must be connected concurrently to speakers, or there may be a risk of damaging the amplifier if you continue to use just one of the 8 Ohm outputs. At least, that's what I think; maybe you should contact Line 6 or Yamaha, and talk to them directly regarding your situation.

To answer your question, if it clearly says 8 Ohm output on the amplifier, then it means 8 Ohm speaker load. Not 16 Ohms, or anything else. If it could work safely with 16 Ohm or 4 Ohm speaker loads, don't you think that Line 6 would have printed that on the amplifier?

Better find someone qualified to help you before you damage your equipment. Just my 2 cents.

Bukan penyelesaian mudah tapi penyelesaian yang bijak. Kalo ko nak ubah wiring dalaman cab tu maknanya ko dalam proses modding. Nak mod tenaga lebihan tu transfer ke dua speaker via wiring or whatever. Mana bole balance mesti ada tenaga lebihan. Kalo ko berani risikokan electronic dalaman head tu explode. buat la pilihan ko.

Yup.. I agree wt u.. sbb tu lah nak tanya pendapat korang semua sebelum penyelesaian yg bijak diambil..
Atleast kalau mod ni berjaya, tak lah membazir sangat nak beli yg baru.. kita try buat dulu...
Dgr pandangan, kaji resiko, ambil tindakan...
Saya hargai pendapat sahabat sumua...

Ok.. that cab just for temp b4 I get 2 replacement driver.. sekarang I dah buat series wiring for that driver and dapat 16ohm inpendan (missmatch). I hope semua nya ok sahaja.. tongue.gif
