i think iwobi should be given some time to rest, start lucas. guy is raring to go.

ozil has always been class, i dont think anyone can deny his ability. but the problem is he doesnt hit that top level performance consistently enough. i think he's certainly improved on his workrate, he used to be lazier in terms of body language. a good assist for giroud deserves praise, but he's been playing some terrible football for the past few games and that deserves flak as well.

i think the fact that he's delaying contract makes the fans a lot more sensitive. he should be putting in better performances to demand better contract deals.

does anyone else think we can rock the 343 formation? it seems everton and spurs are beginning to pick up on the formation as well. i personally dont think we can play with a 343 due to lack of proper wingbacks, i mean bellerin is a good attacking RB but neither gibbs nor monreal are explosive enough to play the wingback role.. maybe gibbo can play LWB and we play monreal/kosc/mustafi in CB? we'll then have xhaka/ramsey in CM, ozil/sanchez in AM and giroud in ST..... meh. i dont think the team's suitable to play with 343, but this could be an interesting experiment in fifa.

^ i think bell's "explosive" enough to be a RWB, but i dont think gibbo or monreal can play the role as well as everton's baines/coleman, spurs's walker/rose or chelsea's alonso/moses. if we got ricardo rodriguez last summer probably we could try that formation. nevertheless, this is just for the sake of discussion.

of course i am, i know not many would agree with me n i'm not saying they r wrong.

i just prefer stability over the unknown, that's all.

right, if wenger leaves there is a very high possibility of us returning to the 'banter era', or something like post-SAF era in man utd. when a manager that has served for so long in a club leaves, it'll take some time for readjustments.

now taking that into consideration, would you rather have arsene wenger to continue at the club, and have the club continuing the pattern we're in right now, forever top 4 but never proper CL challenger or title winner? tbh i think we're not far away from a title winning team, discounting the fact that chelsea have returned to their title winning form from a few seasons back i think we're a proper top 3 team with chelsea and spurs. city can break into that 3 if they sort out their inconsistencies in the defence, man utd need to get their attack sorted out, and pool should realize they should stop playing the "score more than we concede" game they played so well when they had Suarez/Sturridge/Sterling upfront. as good as cout/firmino/mane are, none are on the level of suarez. of course, if alexis or ozil leaves we need to replace them, esp alexis.

or would you rather have a new manager come over for a new era? realistically i dont expect this new era to immediately improve upon the era we have now, it would probably take a few years for the club to adjust to a new manager. we would probably face a mediocre first season, but who knows what the new manager can achieve for the next few years.

i personally think it's up to wenger if he feels he's still up to the task. stability over the unknown, but what has this stability got us so far? i'd say a typical stable season for arsenal these days is a 2nd-4th finish in the EPL, and a round of 16 spot in CL. understandably it's good enough for a team to consistently finish in the top 4, although that CL performance.. i'm pretty sure most of us fans dont expect anything from the CL at the beginning of a season, we're just not at that level.

the unknown, might be worse for the club, might be better. it's a high risk high reward thing. i think that if wenger no longer feels he's capable of challenging for the title, the club should really work to find a good manager. not sure with eddie howe, that moves is a bit too moyes-y. a great manager from a different league might be a good choice.

imo it's up to wenger if he thinks he's still capable of challenging for the title. i think if alexis leaves and he fails to find a replacement, he should consider leaving as i cant see ozil and the rest challenging the other teams in the top 4.

a change is needed, people. surely, surely you've had enough of the same shit.

focus on the league, salvage something there. put up a fight till the end. i'm on wengerout side now, until he shows some sort of fight against chelsea.

ospina played a good game, the defence was in shambles. come on, i dont think cech wouldve made any difference in the game, esp seeing his recent woeful form.

alexis looked downright frustrated, i dont think he'll continue being an arsenal player next season. not even a massive paywage increase could make him stay, he's off to get that silverware. i just hope he doesnt move to a PL rival.

i cant continue talking about the kind of players we need to sign, when there's a manager imo that needs to be changed.

hard part is figuring out who to replace alexis. ozil and wenger i can accept if they leave, but alexis needs to be replaced. i cant deal with an iwobi/giroud/walcott front three next season.

^ lads, it's daily mail.

nevertheless, who would blame sanchez. this is going to be another RVP saga. i dont see the owner changing, so why not the change in managers. the same cycle gets boring after a while. we'll be in risk of losing out top 4, then we start to play like a title challenger again. we'll make top 4 this year regardless, wenger will stay, sanchez will leave. ozil probably stays.

we'll see how wenger fields the team against bayern. oxlade should just play in the middle. and just start lucas, why the f did we buy him for if we're going to bench him for iwobi who hasnt been good anyway?

losing to Pool is not a surprise, they've constantly turned up against bigger teams esp with sadio mane back. what's surprising is the way we played, that first half was horrendous. i do not see any tactical merit in benching our top scorer. not only that unsettles him, it unsettles fans and the media. the only reason was a behind the scene disagreement.

i'm kind of prepared for him to leave. i dont want him to leave, he's the real replacement for RVP, but he's not staying. not if we dont give him massive wage increase (which wont happen), or make changs such as new players or a new manager with drive.

Wow another great decision by me. Thank god I didn't stay up and watch or else I gonna be a morale-down-zombie today  laugh.gif
i havent woken up to a single CL game this season. i'm just not bothered with a tournament that we repeatedly do not have any chance in. doesnt help that the match plays late.

aaaaaanyways, wenger out. this game did nothing to change my stance anyways, this was an expected loss. 0-1, 1-5, whatever.

hey look, a new finish to the season! a crash and burn!

at least it's not the same top 4 finish and then dreaming about next season doing better. more real this time.

take a clue, board. sack the man. at this point no wonder people are calling wenger bigger than the club.

any other club this happens, the manager will be out.

sack the man.

i'm not sure what it will take to see wenger resign or get sacked

i wish to see this old man go out on a high, but it's just not gonna happen anymore

losing 3-0 to palace should be enough to see wenger get sacked.

dont give me the "palace just beat chelsea so they should beat arsenal anyway" crap. we're trying to save european spots, shoulve tried harder. we've been terrible ever since a long fkin time, this is just the boiling point. and we didnt even try to have a proper go at palace.

not fit to wear the shirt. a bit over acting from the fans, but f the players if they think the fans can accept a performance like that with the pay they receive weekly.
