last time when advance 30 first comes out, it is 5Mbps upload speed only, after that it is upgraded to 10Mbps upload speed now.
actually for online gaming, 5Mbps is more than sufficient.
in fact, disregard the total bandwidth, if a connection is stable, 5Mbps or 10Mbps also can be sufficient for normal users who just do normal browsing, or streaming some full HD YouTube video.
of course for expert users, no one will find bandwidth too much, the more the merrier. but to general bolehland ppl, price is actually the highest priority, they would rather get a 'ok' speed, such as 5Mbps or 10Mbps but paying a lowest subscription monthly as possible. even rm10 difference monthly for double or triple speed, if they are the 'normal' or 'casual' Internet users, they may opt not to upgrade.
Example such as my parent's Neighbour, they are paying rm140 for streamyx 4Mbps with a low 512Kbps upload speed, I told them they can actually pay rm39 extra to get a fibre connection which is a lot faster and can get enjoy 50Mbps upgrade also. They said no need as they are happy with the current speed for normal YouTube streaming etc instead of paying the extra for a better technology.
It is more of the hassle to go through to migrate from streamyx to unifi. Im a 3 weeks user of unifi and glad the process went quite smoothly despite got issue of no port for about 2-3months hanging and ping pong. I would say if no walls needs to be drilled or need to wait for installer and so on as if it was super seamless, everyone will surely upgrade to 30mbps if given that they house is available for installation
