TM changed their FAQ again...
5. When will I enjoy the Free Speed Upgrade? Customers will be enjoying the speed upgrade in phases, starting from April 2017. Customers will be informed via E-mail, SMS or telephone prior to the implementation of the speed upgrade at their areas. |

QUOTE(Jjuggler @ Dec 16 2016, 10:54 PM) I just called TM today to upgrade my speed to 50Mbps. However, I can't get new equipment since I just do upgrade via phone. The good side is, even if i upgrade the speed, the contract remains unchanged. The bad side, cannot get new equipment such as hypptv and cordless phone. OMG!!! So long.... Take how many day to upgrade 50mbps... How much monthly feeMy current set up. I have to buy a laptop cooler to cool down the btu and the router. QUOTE(Jjuggler @ Dec 16 2016, 11:36 PM) I also get 28Mbps d/l and 11Mbps u/l bro. You're not alone. I want 100mbps too... but if extra 50, too high nowGood luck bro. I upgrade now in order to experience the 100Mbps. My journey starts from 1Mbps to 5Mbps to 30Mbps to 50Mbps then finally going to reach 100Mbps. |

QUOTE(syncomp @ Dec 18 2016, 11:07 PM) Contract remain but are you able to downgrade? How much u get for 50mbps?I got called from their telemarketer twice. The first one offer me RM 219 with extending contract for additional 2 years. That first caller (man) call me twice because I need to discuss with my housemate. And later I told him not interested. -DONE- Second caller (lady) called me 15 days after that. But this time for the same price my contract wouldn't have to be extended, and just finish with the remaining months. I asked her to do the same as the first caller did for the same reason and I rejected the offer on the second time she called. 3 days after that she called me again; "Hi selamat pagi, Nur (xxx) daripada TM membuat panggilan, jadi macam mana encik (xxx)? Berminat dengan tawaran?" "Ye saya bercakap... Tapi saya dah bagi jawapan kan tempoh hari" And she explain bla bla bla... (I wasn't pay attention to what she said coz right now I was wondering, is this just coincident or is it God knows better himself that I should take that offer for the sake of next year benefit). In that curiosity, I asked her just what I want to hear "If I upgrade now, would I entitle for free upgrade to 100 Mbps next year?" And she said "YES! But we still...... (bla bla bla)" "SIGN ME IN!!!!!!!!" I said confidentially "Kalau encik (xxx) bersetuju saya akan bacakan terma2nya untuk kita teruskan proses upgrade ini ya encik" And I said "OK!" "Encik (xxx) bernombor kad pengenalan (xxx) adalah pemilik utama akaun (xxx). YA! "Encik bersetuju untuk menaik taraf Pakej semasa 30 Mbps akan dinaiktaraf ke pakej 50 Mbps. YA! "Naiktaraf ini adalah melalui telefon, maka segala peralatan digunakan adalah masih sama dan encik bersetuju dengan perkara ini. YA! I said yes to everything she said for verification purpose that I agreed with the offer "Pakej semasa 30 Mbps akan dinaiktaraf ke pakej 50 Mbps dengan terma terma berikut..." As she explain one by one 1. 2. 3. . . . . . . . . And come to the final statement. "Pakej yang telah dinaiktaraf kepada 50 Mbps ini TIDAK BOLEH dituruntaraf kepada pakej yang lebih rendah" Owh.... F*CK! Dial up 1515 sure is the pain in the as* back then. Speed 56k but still that one bearable la at that time. Now, I dunno. Me personally feel that 30 Mbps is normal. Anything below than that.... Although my mother's house using streamyx 4 Mbps but still..... |

QUOTE(kennydy1990 @ Dec 27 2016, 07:59 PM) Some lady from TM office called me whether want to upgrade or not and I accepted the 50. She says 7 days. Was wondering, is that 7 days include public holidays or only working hours? Normally more than 7working days. Look like you paid higher $ for 50mbps as you cant enjoy free upgrade. Not sure~ |

QUOTE(westlife @ Dec 28 2016, 10:47 PM) anyone here who is on streamyx previously but upgraded to unifi and choose to terminate the streamyx after unifi is activated but retain the existing copper telephone line? are u guys paying rm1 now for the existing telephone line instead of the monthly rm26++ for the line? They still charge me RM25 per month and need to visit TMPoint to create waiver orderi am chatting with tm live chat to confirm that my copper telephone and my unifi are linked so that the coming month bill i won't see the rm26++ on my existing copper line, obviously he did not understand what i was inquiring about at all. |

QUOTE(yogurt7 @ Dec 30 2016, 12:17 PM) hi, if I apply for Unifi today, and let say it take 3 working day for them to process my application, and let say they process my application after 31st December 2016, will I still be eligible to get a free speed upgrade next year, since the promotion period will end tomorrow. What I would like to know is either the cut-off date to get a free upgrade is consider from the date of our application, or the date of installation? I think not eligible because they said account activated before 31 Dec,2016. Normally they only active Unifi Account after install |

I was watching it happily from my HyppTV box. Well, usually first login will have this issue. There are YouTube videos to solve this but never worked for me. Mine only OK after factory reset. |
