Hi all,

Regarding my previous post over here, my router having problem with the wireless signal, can I bring in this router to TM Point straight away and request for a replacement? Does anyone tried this method before with any success?

The question from my previous post:

Throw away the stock TM router and get yourself a 3rd party router such as ASUS RT-AC1200G+
All routers provided by TM are crap
*
Actually I have bought an Asus router, but if I can replace the crappy router as a backup, then it would be useful if one day my Asus stopped working without warning. biggrin.gif

Thanks for your instructions I will later hope that it will work

If it works for you, just let us know, and I might think of buying this router because I really need to watch the service wirelessly.

Which asus router you using? i need to check with the asus router emulator, As i checked the AC66U emulator, it cant set in this way.

The alternative way is if you got a N router, you can configure as AP and connect to the Hypptv port on your asus router if cant set the wifi assign IPTV on wifi. I never try it yet, but i think its should work.

Or buy a powerline adapter.

My Asus router is RT-AC55UHP (this model kind of rarely mentioned and very few support available online), I also can't find any way to assign VLAN tagging on it's Wi-Fi.

Actually I have a pair of TP-Link TL-PA201 power adapter, and it was working before, but then it stopped working after I didn't use it for a while. Not sure why it stopped working and not dare to buy a new pair because I haven't confirmed if the adapter not working or the wiring problem.

Hi all,

I missed a lot of posts before here, so please forgive me if this had been answered before... notworthy.gif

I stay in a condo and using copper wire, currently with ADV30 package, does that mean I am not eligible for the upgrade to 50Mbps later this year? (because I saw someone posted here last time, saying high rise building with copper wire can't support 50Mbps?)

Thanks in advanced. smile.gif

it depends on how 'old' is the copper in your building. If the quality is good, 50mbps is still achievable. But definitely not 100mbps
*

Oh I see, then there are still hope, haha...

QUOTE(tohff7 @ Jan 3 2017, 09:39 AM)
if TM willing to re-wire the high rise for you, you think building management will say no?

of course now TM won't do la. But who knows 10-20 years down the road, fiber cost might be even cheaper than copper?  laugh.gif
*

I think that should not be that hard if Time can provide service in fiber, then TM should be able to do it as well. smile.gif

Don't know but you can try. TM sent me SMS though to offer, free change, no contract extension and free RM 20 AEON vouchers. I haven't got the vouchers by the way.
*
Mie too haven't receive their Aeon voucher after many.months. biggrin.gif

Dear all,

May I know if my Unifi currently no internet access, but HyppTV is working, does that means Unifi down or it's my own side's problem? Already restart BTU and router many times but still the same.

Did you double check the info you filled in? You would get the "check back at 25th jan" message if you filled in the incorrect info.  I knew about this because I filled in the wrong TM homeline number intentionally. tongue.gif
*

TM homeline means the number with our Unifi VoIP number right? Maybe I'll try again later with more careful check. tongue.gif

Landed house or high rise?

I'm on high-rise..... What? Could it be that my condo can't support 50Mbps? tongue.gif
