QUOTE(lolabunny123 @ Dec 23 2016, 12:46 PM) I requested to upgrade my Unifi plan from 30Mbps to 50Mbps and the TM staff said it'll take around one week for the process to complete. Is this true? Why does it take such a long time to process? I thought maximum it will take 48 hrs only. Yes, a week. Where did you hear about 48H?But usually it is done less than a week. Mine was few days. |

[attachmentid=8299073] Test 2 [attachmentid=8299076] Test 3 [attachmentid=8299079] I get 28Mbps d/l and 11Mbps u/l. So i did change some settings in the router and I manage to get 29.++Mbps d/l and 10.++Mbps u/l. Currently, i'm on Advance 30 package. |

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Dec 23 2016, 11:27 AM) For people who still wondering whether Unifi users who subscribed before Dec 2016 are eligilbled for the upgrade or not, or still assuming that the free upgrade is only for the users who subscribed In Dec 2016....etc. I think on this matter, common sense does not really apply here.With all due respect, this is totally not worth to be worried about. If the free upgrade is only limited to newest subscribers, the existing users sure will go chaos and I am sure all hell will break loose in no time. Do you think TM will go for such a stupid move? And ya. I am sure some of you would say their T&C and FAQ doesn't mention anything about the existing customers. There's no source and news indicating that the existing users will get the free upgrade. Please la people. They did not mention it doesn't mean they will ignore the existing customers. Most likely, the T&C and FAQ will be changed once again after the Dec promotion. Common sense people, common sense. The promotion (for free upgrade) could be a ploy to get current subscribers to sign up for the 30mbps / 50mbps packages by 31/12/2016, so that they would be able to enjoy the upgrade. That, and to get more new subscribers to use Unifi. It may mean that the current subscribers who opt not to upgrade their package (e.g. those who are currently using 5/10/20 mbps), would not be eligible to enjoy the upgrade. A valid concern, considering TM has not informed/made it clear on this. --- A case in point; the mobile packages (say, Maxis, Celcom, DiGi) that you have subscribed years ago would be less 'cool' than those offered for new subscribers. e.g. More expensive, less data plan, no free-calls to other operators. And when they roll out new packages with better perks, do they revise the package for old subscribers? No Sir, nope. So it is only when TM comes up with statements to say that the upgrade is to be given to those subscribing prior to 2016, we shall take it as no upgrade is given. |

Guys, for a long while I waited for unifi to be available for my home due to no port.
Suddenly this week I received confirmation by email, call, SMS that installer gonna come tomorrow. How come my house suddenly can have port when none of my neighbours moved or cancelled. I'm worried that suddenly tomorrow they come then say, No Port. |

QUOTE(edr1c @ Dec 13 2016, 04:26 PM) I'm actually curious if customer under their retention program is eligible for the upgrade or not, i myself are using 5mb unifi @129, offered at early 2015 when i finish my studies and tried to cancel the service. QUOTE(Boldnut @ Dec 13 2016, 04:39 PM) yup got a call a while ago. 30mbps for RM159, may be because I am a very long time customer? It seems that I am the one that still paying rm149 for vip5, everybody seems to have a free upgrade odi? How?but I still reject the offer since I am on RM149 VIP5(upgraded to 10mbps). 10mbps is more than enough for me. LOL TMnet sure is desperate to upgrade all its existing user. from RM199 to RM179 to RM169 now RM159. |
