unifi kelentong exisitng user 30mb still did not receive 50mb upgrade.
Read TM's actual T&C first before saying anything
They did mention that the upgrade will start in April 2017 & by phases
QUOTE(calk @ Jan 4 2017, 07:41 AM)

I can't get the result around 28 - 30mbps anymore.
1. State the model of the router that you're using right now
2. When you did the test, did you do it through WiFi or LAN cable?
3. If you only did test through WiFi, test again but this time, use a device that's connected directly into the router using a LAN cable

From 5mbps free upgraded to 10mbps last July, am I going to get free upgrade to 30 perhaps this year? hmm.gif
Nope. the free upgrade is only for those who never receive any free upgrades before

Let me correct a few things before I answer your question
QUOTE(norman05051984 @ Jan 4 2017, 12:11 PM)
1. Can i use 2 routers for my internet line? Thinking of one (TM provided) to be placed at living hall (together with hypptv)  and one ASUS at the second floor. Because i think single modem will not be able to cover my whole house because of blind spot etc.
Yes. But the 2nd router must be connected to the main router. The main router is connected to the BTU (modem)
QUOTE(norman05051984 @ Jan 4 2017, 12:11 PM)
2. Can i ask the contractor to set it up my routers for me for free?
No. You may be able to get them to configure the secondary router for free, but you still need to pay for the ethernet cable
QUOTE(norman05051984 @ Jan 4 2017, 12:11 PM)
3. Can it be done with 2 routers or I need to resort with TM router only? Or is it best for the contractor to set up ASUS router instead of TM router?
Already answered in number 1

Depending on the distance between the main router and the secondary router, you need to prepare a very long ethernet cable so you can connect the 2 routers

By the way, which ASUS router do you have? State the model

wanna ask, free installation for 15m fiber cable counted from the pole (Fiber Distribution Box) to BTU (modem) or from the  Fiber Termintation Box (FTB) to BTU(modem). if 15m counted from FTB to BTU, can i request the contractor to lay the cable over the roof. any additional will be charge based on additional fiber cable length right? not on the difficult workmanship need to lay cable over the roof...
None of them
The 15 meter starts from the Fiber cable point of entry into your house

you mean from the pole? thought counted from the fiber termintation box from the house to BTU (modem). attached one diagram found from the website, just want to verify with sifu here.
No, I said "entry point"
That means the 15 meter is counted starting from the hole they made for the Fiber cable to enter your house

Just ugrd rm159 adv 30mb,i still cant stream youtube 4k movie smoothly,it keep buffering stop and go.
No problem with full hd streaming though...is it becoz of old router dlink dir-615 orange white i'm using now?need to chg new one tplink archer 5 then can stream 4k smoothly? Apartment unifi..
Throw away the DIR-615 and don't bother wasting money on the Archer C5
Save some money to go straight for RT-AC68U. Worth every penny
Or just buy using Maybank2U EzyPay so you can pay through instalments

Hi guys,

I am new to unifi, today is 2nd day.
I have some internet surfing problems.

Inititally  I have issue with low download speed but sifu dellmalaysia suggested I changed my 2.4ghZ channel to others after checking wifi analyzer. Now all my devices and PCs are running speed test around 27mb average.

My issue is that surfing net and loading new pages are terrible.
Loading time 15 sec. When I quickly test using mobile data, it loads any pages immediately. This includes local sites like lowyatnet.

Currently I switched all my devices to connect to 2.4ghz because the 5ghz cannot connect to internet..Shows connection unresolved. No one is using my channel 8-10 around my area. I am using channel 8.

Only my PCs are set as Google DNS in ivp4.
I am using stock router from TM. 850L D-Link.

Ping test normal, no data loss.

Any tips guys?
1. It's more ideal to set custom DNS inside the router, not on your devices
2. If your PC is connected to the router through wireless, try again with an ethernet cable instead, see if there's any changes
3. If the website you're trying to access load immediately through ethernet cable, then the issue is your wireless
4. D-Link DIR-850L is crap. Anything that is provided by TM is crap. Get your own router

Any telephone is fine as long as it's using RJ11 port
You can buy used units from Lelong for less than RM100

It's ipv6 issue, if disable ipv6 then will show the page.
It's TM's own website & I have to disable IPv6 just to access their website?

if i change to 30mbps unifi...do i need to change the tp-link repeater ?
No. But just an advise, any devices that's connected to the wireless signal from the repeater will only get half of the full 30Mb/s

Should I upgrade from VIP20 to Adv50?
No. Instead, terminate your VIP 20, then register for a new Advance 30
Come April, you will get free upgrade to 50Mb/s for the price of only RM179/month (before GST)

The upside of doing this: Cheaper price
The downside of doing this: New 24 months contract

Heard that the new plan which using half-duplex is causing lag during online play.
None that I can see. Been playing WoW, Diablo 3, and some other full online game, no issue whatsoever

I'm in IP address range 118.101.x.y , no problem to browse in jobstreet.com.my
It's not IP range issue
I've tried lots of IP range, but some of the job ads still can't be opened

Try opening more job ads in jobstreet, preferably in the number of hundreds
I just want to make sure that I'm not the only 1 having this issue

PS: The main webpage is fine, it's the ads in Jobstreet itself, when you're trying to look at the jobs you're interested for, that's when I have that issue sweat.gif

This site can’t be reached

search3.jobstreet.com’s server DNS address could not be found.
Try:
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy, firewall, and DNS configuration
ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED
So I'm not the only whose having this issue then sweat.gif
