Samsung SME said that they do not honor warranty claim on SSD and related product anymore. Even when their site says they will honor based on the manufacturing date. I am having 850 EVO which is released less than 1.5 years.

We have to go back to the dealer, but I do not have the receipt with me.

You can call Samsung Service Center.

I had the same issue with my washing machine from Samsung. Lost the receipt and it was almost end of warranty (ie. almost 4 years old).

Samsung service person over the following day and subsequently fixed my washing machine.

I did gave them a call, and they said they do not honor SSD warranty in Malaysia now.

I can only send it back to the place that I bought it, and I do not have that receipt with me sad.gif

Where you bought from? Online? Shop? Most of the PC hardware i bought from shops got the digital purchase record keep in their system. You can try your luck to get back to them to ask for help search for the purchase record with the product serial number, if they do have a digital record keep in their system.

can only said since SME outsource service centre to 3rd party agent to run it, have a lot of changes for it, only house appliances can send to service centre, for computer related, need send back to shop that u purchased for process warranty claim, then they will send to respective distributor to wait for replacement

Maybe you can try sending through shops that offer RMA services. IINM Viewnet in LYP charges RM40 for stuff that was not bought from them. There are other shops who provide this service as well, try to search in the Garage Sales or the Services Noticeboard section.
