So I've got the audio/video infrastructure sorted out for the prospective purchase of the X360 (got the DELL 24" LCD, sticking w/my current speakers for now but upgrading to the Logitech z-5500 l8r)

Now I just have to get the damn X360.

So I'm looking for recommendations on where in KL to get a modded 360 (before this degenerates into a mod vs Original thread, let me just say that as a dedicated offline gamer aand also for myriad other reasons, this is not something I'm unsure about-it's definitely gonna be a modded set. Sorry guys.). Basically my criteria is more towards reliability rather than price. If you know of any place like this, post a reply or PM me if you reckon the 'publicity' might be troublesome.

Will prolly pick it up after CNY. Put some of the angpow money to a worthwhile cause .

you'd be better off buying an unmodded xbox360 first, then only mod it.
why? because of the mod itself, u wont get the firmware something something (im not so sure bout this) and when u wanna revert back to original, u're screwed. coz basically they just mod the optical drive firmware, n not install a modchip or something.
pls dun kick me in the nuts, coz i havent got any experience in 360 mods.

those are not cheap settings my friend you got there and yet you going to look for a modded 360. well it's your choice then no one can force you on anything.

judge he's an offline gamer. so that leaves LIVE out of the equation. we're all exposed to 3ROD just that he wont be gettin his doorstopper back.

since u r not going live, keep or discard your original firmware doesnot really matters to me.

just go to the shop, tell them, i wanna buy modded xbox that can play those RM 12 game.

for modded set,

no matter which gameshop, once 3rod, no warranty and walla~! 1.5k nice white brick present to you

note: my frens asked some of the sg wang game shops, they said they will send back to their technician for repair, no 1 to 1 exchange allowed.

you can try ask GH, they may or may not selling. but as for 1 to 1 exchange, think only avail for unmodded set. DjiNn, right?

I already found a way modding the X360 without voiding the warranty as for me no worries because the pretty white box won't turn into a beautiful white brick.

actually, from what my understand in Penang.

Modded Ones here, came with 1 month 1-2-1 swap, while the other 11 months is repair by their own technicant on best effort basis.

have you try to warranty a 360 from SG before?

no idea with the local stores though but the service hub in sg will check the hinge behind of the xbox.

i know the hair dryer trick.

The hinge at the back also can use trick ....hehehehhehe

each man to his own la. if he has decided to go modded, let him be la. it's his money.

like i said b4, nothing is stopping owners of modded consoles to buy some original games (brand new/2nd hand). heck i see even ppl with 3RoD buying games while waiting for their machine, LoL. if u cannot go buy/trade/rent 100% ori games, at least dont' go 100% piracy route take it one step at a time.
