most cashier refused to try, because they scare fraud case... i've been rejected many time during the last contest period...

I'm quite confuse that some cashier told me that a physical card must be insert in order to swipe. Without card, it will not activate the terminal, is that true?

Today encountered unsuccessful SPay at my usual car polish place. 1st time wanna try this SPay at this place.

The terminal looks like non-nfc version. I'm using Citi card.
The uncle not familiar with SPay but he is willing to allow to try it out.

So I asked him to press F2. Then the terminal prompt card number whereby from guide that I download from this page mentioned time to key-in the value.
Because the terminal asked for card, thus I tap at terminal right side, it received and then only asked to key-in payment value.
Terminal prompt asking either Debit or Credit, select Credit.
It asked again either the number correct or not. The number match wish SPay digital card number. He pressed confirm, then after awhile terminal prompt unable to honor it. Tried 3x, produced same results. Gave up. And pay using physical card (same card)

I'm wondering what went wrong here. Any input?

So far I never encountered issue with NFC enable terminal except stupid Uniqlo outlet which do not allow to pay using SPay. They even not allowed to pay using CIMBPay. Complaint to their official FB page, they claimed that's their policy and I sarcastically tease their orthodox approach.

this is more to merchant education/training, i doubt it will get sorted out in a short period.

most of the time is i teach the cashier (even with so called Samsung Pay "affiliated" merchant). so far haven't encounter the type of cashier of yours.

lol...your method create hassle for your self, just ask them to activate the credit terminal 1 more time at 0.01.....scan but don't press enter and refer there.

else, if you have 2nd phone, just download credit card reader, activate samsung pay and scan it.

Those common places I just take out my phone they immediately know what I want to do only those traditional machine the staff are not trained.

I only tried bhp and I get card error does Samsung pay works on petrol station in general.

Do not honor mostly mean over the limit.

Maybank have daily cumulative limit of RM250

Next time try 249 or make sure your continuous daily transaction does not go over RM250

You could double confirm by calling bank and ask them why this transaction is not honoured, bank is aware of this transaction

You using Citibank cc as well?

I don't know if Focus Point staff confused or what.
They told me that using MST, there'll a limit of RM 250 but there's no limit if using Wave/NFC.
However, I couldn't try Wave as their MBB terminal is not configured to support Wave.
I also asked if their other terminals support Wave too. None of them does.

P/S: They have 3 terminals on the table facing customer.
One terminal is meant for CIMB Pay from CIMB. One terminal is meant for Samsung Pay from MBB.

Citibank is my prime card for Samsung Pay.
95% of my transactions done using Wave; even at McD/Guardian/Watson.

In Singapore mc Donald's, they actually block MST transaction at the ordering terminal, stating invalid payment.

Now no point use SPay jor. Most of the good promos are over. I guess they used up their budget liao. Previously S7Edge, Gear Icon X and 10k PB. Now only phone case, getting cheaper the prizes.

My CIMB debit card pun cannot register.

any1 know which petronas is available to use samsungpay or paywave at the pump terminal ? which is like the bhp, but bhp seems not working anymore last time it can be use, but now seems been disable for samsungpay
