 Windows vs Windows Pro performance

My laptop is i3-4500U with 6GB RAM, currently usinig Windows 8.1 Single language.
I install sql server and visual studio for development the speed is slow.

If I reformat and install Windows 10 Pro, would it be faster?

your windows 8.1 is 32bit or 64bit? if want to fully utilize the 6GB memory, u need a 64bit os.

change the os drive to ssd. i have a laptop with i7 cpu and 16gb ram. with everything running in hdd, it's slow.
