1. system reserved - used by windows
2. Pqserice - Acer eRecovery to reinstall the operating system, setting the system back to the way it was the day you purchased it

Why ubuntu not Linux Mint ? Mint come with extra ready to use setting, driver, multimedia codex

I see. So i can wipe those 2 drive i guess.

Ubuntu, only this .iso available in my ext hdd currently.

I think my windows got corrupted, im not able to boot & reinstall windows using usb (will stuck @ loading).
Hence, im testing whether Linux based os can be booted or not.

Will try linux mint later.

Is it normal if i create bootable usb using linuxmint.iso, and i face this screen when i boot from usb?

*Never ending black screen scrolling with white text, OK & FAILED status"

This taking longer time than expected.

I thought this only occur with ubuntu.iso.

Or there is something messed up with my laptop configuration.

Default is just ubuntu/mint logo. That small scrolling text will come if u press ESC key
If too many fail and stuck something go wrong somewhere.

live usb slow boot a minute or two is normal because slow usb speed and need to auto probe hardware. after install from power on to finish loading take less than a minute only depend on hardware lah.

i suspect slow hard drive, hard drive going bad, and little ram.

Yep. Normally live boot is only ~3 minutes on the same laptop before.

Now, live boot >10 minutes. I suspect my hdd/ram kaput ady.

That would probably because of corrupted .iso file.
