I can give you example. This one real one.

- Way before MRT is completed, i already predicted MRT riders will park inside Tesco Puchong so they do not need to pay the parking allocated there.

- So Tesco know about this problem, start to make parking coupon system. Free for 2 hours? Else pay RM2.

- It works because then parking is really plenty afterwards.

- MBPJ deemed the system illegal. So shut them down. MBSJ is not getting money from the parking system, what else?

- You cannot get parking during office hours because the MRT rider will park inside TESCO. The MRT parking is so full of space.

The problem is not MRT or TESCO. The problem is MBSJ.

Also forget to mention that there is a Giant across the street that has a paid parking system. Their is buy RM15 for free parking. Else pay RM2. Which makes one wonder, Why GIANT can and TESCO not?

I think it's a move to prevent staff parking in certain area which mainly reserved for customers, they should already gave instructions for staff where to park for long hours, places like 1u, they want to prevent staff utilizing their internal parking and want staff park far away.

It's a move to allow customer to get parking, and they seems pretty sure those parked more than 4 hours aren't their customers and abusing of the cheap parking which was mainly targeting potential customers.

last time go Tesco Shah Alam RM4/hour. key mark betul

in new zealand there'll be a warden walking around car parks that has a time limit to physically draw the tires with a white colored pen, each line represents half hour i think, he'll walk around and draw. and when it hits 3 lines (1.5 hours), the warden will write a ticket.
