the 8950GX2 vs X2900XTX2

2x128 stream shader VS 2x96 stream shader. both will have more than 1GB rams. best part? the price. USD550 for AMD dual card solution!!!

btw, not forgetting AMD single card X2800XTX also DDR4 equipped. this is the top end model of AMD, not the dual card. sound weird but it's true. price? USD600 for 1024MB of 512-bit GDDR4 ram. X2900XT will have 512mb ddr3 ram instead. retail version come with vapor chamber dual slot cooling and all X2900 use 8-pin power connector (still can use 6-pin though).

nice another big fight for both company.. i think nvidia still got secret weapone since d so early release they 8800 d. But ATI still stucking dunno wat problem.. +Mid range 8800 d out... 1k+ Nvidia gonna earn 1 round money b4 ATI come the share the market

omg? 8800GTX is like quite fast.. now theres 8950GX2.. 2.5times faster?

get the 2nd hand GC from garage sales..

from spec 8950gx2 look more powerful...

^ i don't think you can tell from the specs alone since there are little or no benchmarks on both of the cards available as of yet.

The shader counts on the ATI card are completely wrong, as usual. I'm sure the rest of the specs are also mostly wrong. There might not even be such a card for retail.

1Kw should be enuff for quad + crossfire/ SLi setup
unless u have alot hardware & add-on item such those bling2 & extra fan

only US$50 difference in pricing between 8950gtx2 ($600) and 8900gtx ($550).

almost bought the 8800gts, but now gonna wait for the gx2 but hope the power requirements won't be crazy. only have a 500watt power supply.

erm..i think normal fan just draw 0.10 to 0.5Amp only...
if u put 10 fan ...its only 10 to 60W only...
but who did use 10 pcs 0.5A fan

wow,so fast..this gc is for dx10 game..but now, dx10 game is not many in the market..

B4 buying 8950GX2 need super high res monitor to get the potential out and Vista... urgggg.

current lcd monitor capable high resolution.... no need to worried, dx10 based games will be in market very soon coz win vista and dx10 vga card already in market...
