i just got my super lanboy from jy14, and i love the weight... but when i wanted to assemble it, i found out the big typh vx is having a conflict with antec rear fan.. can anyone let me know wat to do next? It is impossible for my casing to without a exhaust fan and it will become an oven ><

i think it's the mobo layout with the cpu located too near to the left right?

the try removed the case rear fan and positioned the fan of the heatsink blowing out through the rear part. that removed fan can fixed outside the case? look weird but can try.

But the problem is, if he does that, that means the hot air won't be squeezed out of the casing.

if the rear fan is put from out side the casing it also can suck the hot air....

the problem is sure from the mobo layout....

what mobo are u using?

see my sig lo, i am using ds3, u all know wat i mean rite? the big typhoon vx too close to the rear fan until if i don remove the rear fan, then the fan will shredd off the heatsink once i open the pc. If i put the fan outside, the fan still can draw the hot air out efficiently? I oc my pc kau kau one so i scare the pc will burn in anytime.

yes. if u want, can even mod the case by cutting the whole grill, leaving a big hole. buy custom grill and attached it to the fan, OUTSIDE the case. but the case is yours, decision up to you.

why not just put the rear fan suck the air from the outside?
no need to cut or what so ever....

such a waste to cut it just fot that.....

i dunno where to buy the screws and how to put the wiring in..

use the original screw that hold the fan at the rear. if it use plastic clip, then use some wire to hold it temporary at the rear for testing.

the 4pin wire socket can be removed and guide it through any opening at the back (hole at custom IO panel, rear fan opening, etc). just make sure u attached back the pin correctly to the socket. there's a guide to do so which actually intended for psu sleeve mod.

HDD ticking? it's sign of dying

btw, see whether any temperature different if u relocated the fan outside compared to inside the case. cutting the case is too drastic (but norm to case modder no, i'm not one of them)

it might look worst but, atleast u can still use the fan

i will try it while i back to my hometown.. now busy packing lolz. BUt i any guide to take out the molex pin? If got lead it to me, thanks man. big typoon vx fan cannot change, must blow the heatsink only can cool the heatsink down. I try cut another hole at the transparent part and put a fan there. My old case with rear fan give me 42-42 temp at normal ambient temp but now i am getting 50-53 without oc... ><
