They finally fixed ugly vent face on RG?
But again this is a prototype...

They didn't fix it.. the vents are not cut through.. either they gave up and just go the HG way.. or we can still end up like red frame where the actual face was only made known when it was released and after reviews.

Hey guys, I'm sure this was shown in the Gunpla building 101 thread but it's a very old thread. So I'm wondering if there's any new technique or tools that you guys have to panel lining.

I recently bought a hobby kit from lazada (sanding strip, some tweezers, side cutter and a sakura micron 005 pen).

I started doing panel lining for a bit yesterday and it's too harsh on white so I gave up doing it on bright surfaces and focused on red part of my Red Frame Astray MG.

I rubbed off the excess after roughly applying the lining. It's decent but not even enough.

So I think I'm gonna stop using it. What do you guys use? Tamiya dip panel lining?
*
On white parts, its better to use gray color for panel lining. Sakura micron do make gray colored ones and a few other pens. If you can't find it near where you live, then a mechanical pencil will do just fine, if you plan to topcoat later.

It could be manufacturing defects in the mold, my ARF and 00R didn't have any sagging or thick vents laugh.gif
*
I meant how it looks. some people complaints that the gap between vents are too far apart and made the face look ugly. sweat.gif

What? If that is their business model it is simply not sustainable, rather than making a distribution deal with Litt Tak they rather wait for 2-3 warehouse sales per year? doh.gif So what about the newly released kits? There's no recent warehouse sales for that. I totally don't buy what you're saying.

Even in Japan the small retailers sell way below RRP. In Malaysia, the anchor giants do not sell according to RRP, they sell way over RRP, so one cannot take that the prices are what they were intended to be sold at.

But rest assured, I'll get the answer for everyone during the next trip to the shops wink.gif
*
In Japan?? define small retailers. Small hobby shops here (I'm in Japan) sells at MSRP except during sales period and even that is rare. Only big retailers (bic camera, yodobashi camera, joshin) sells at 20-30% off MSRP.. Even Aeon here sells just a little bit below MSRP (about 10-15% off).

Let's vote for our next MG ver.Ka!!

http://www.gundam.info/top.php

Looks like currently Barbatos Lupus Rex (would've preferred Lupus than Rex) is leading, followed by G-Self (that was unexpected)..

People denied the rumour initially because of reuse same graphic/article from RG Exia.
Maybe PG was based on RG.

While I denied because of late announcement. Will the release still in late 2017 or pushed to next year? PG is not a fast developed.
*
So far its just announced with no set date.. Maybe the project's been underway for quite some time and Bandai is just very good at keeping the lid on? hmm.gif Or maybe they just announce it this year in time for the 10th anniversary and release it next year..? hmm.gif Any which way it's still good that at least its happening.

On a side note: Hopefully its able to light up just like the silhouette!

Lollllllll at the poll result
G-Self won but "it is hard to produce MG G-Self so the extra backpack will be in P-Bandai"

nice logic
*
I think that should be read as "so the other backpacks (referring to other form/packs i.e space pack, perfect pack) will be in P-Bandai.
So most probably the main G-Self will be released.. and if they ever decide to make the other packs it will be through P-Bandai.

Yes I know the other G-Self forms but the statement( difficult to made) is not valid reason to end as premium release. Sounds like they can but they dont want to.
*
The whole sentence could be summed [The G-Self is difficult to be made as a single release due to the various pack and each pack is sizeably large with parts difference (arms, legs, colours) hence the other packs will be released through P-Bandai]..

But yeah, you know bandai... any chances for P-Bandai and they will be like cool2.gif

So, when this is released, any chance the spray can will be available in Malaysia? Any shops planning to bring it in? Granted, since compressed can can't be transported via air, we would be getting it a whole lot later, right?

found a review here.

despite all the details, it is still look kinda plain
perhaps this expensive kit not worthy for straight build, must custom paint a little to bring out the power
*
Here's what it would look like with a relatively straightforward paint and decals.
