The MG Jegan is good too. Also the brand new SD Cross Silhouette revives the dead SD gunpla. Haro get its model kit line after 40 years debut in anime.
This year is good year for gunpla despite the massive P-Bandai and recycled kits.

Am I doing this wrong? After cuting the gate, I sand it down The surface is smooth now, but the white dot stilll there. Do I cut it wrong?
Better use modeler's knife to cut straight without sanding. i feel sanding is waste time and surface no longer shine. Try practise ur cutting skill, can on stroke cut off those nipper point and left smooth and shine finish.

I tried cutting today, Im so bad at it I almost heavily deform a chest piece lol managed to fix it by sanding. I've figured out how to sand them to remove the white dot. But the scratch and dullness cant be avoid. Use some nail polish block to bring back the shine.

The purpose of sanding is to prep it for paint. If you're not going to paint it, there's very little legit reason to sand the pieces.
Well - there might be a way to get rid of the white area, but its risky.
Burn a similar color runner and with the melted part apply onto the white area/use cement melted runner. Its not perfect match due to the discoloration, but its better than stress marks. There's a few vids in youtube on this I think
