FYI under Bandai as whole company, there are several branches under it. Bandai is not only a toy company.
So there are model kit division, figure division. You should not mixing them together. They are not related even though under same big company. And we got the Bandai Namco, the game production merged with Namco since 2006. Only to make video games and there is anime studio established by BandaiNamcoProduction/BNP, make anime like Gintama(which previously made by Sunrise).
Bandai as whole is a kids toys, adult collector toys, gunpla and model kits, figure, game and anime studio. Who's know what Bandai capable to do next.
So, why those action figure are more expensive than gunpla counterpart?
-Action figure is preassembled, ready to play. While gunpla is not. You need to assemble it from scratch.
-The cost to making action figure is way more expensive than gunpla. The assembled parts, painting are done by human labours, done in factories in China while Gunpla is 100% made in Japan, no human labours needed for item making. It is operated by injection machine. Technically those molding casting iron are far more expensive but it is only for short term because it is cost efficient for mass production gunpla.
In another word, action figure toys > gunpla in term of cost production. You still need to pay those human labours, unlike gunpla which is only operated by injection machine(well human labour is still used like moving the mass boxes of gunpla but they are not involved with gunpla production at all).
So it is normal that those Robot Damashii cost more than gunpla HG. But you sometimes can find those Robot Damashii toys in bargain bin anyway

Also, those action figure and gunpla have different purpose. Action figure meant to play while gunpla meant for model scale replication. Gunpla got articulation like action figure toys but you should not play it roughly like action figure.
