Investors,... things of interest below :-
1) https://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...election-plans/ Following part in the above article is of interest :- Robyn and John Marlow own two properties in Australia - one in Sydney's affluent northern beaches, which earns them a steady rental income, and a multi-million dollar, three-bedroom house where they live about 200 km (125 miles) south. The retired couple, whose rustic home borders a national park and is only steps away from Hyams Beach - reputedly the whitest sand beach on earth - are worried by calls from the opposition Labor Party to remove tax perks for wealthy retirees. Just 30 kms (18 miles) inland from the Marlows, 22-year-old Luke Sultana works as a part-time receptionist in the regional service town of Nowra. Three pawn shops along the town's main parade offer a glimpse of the economic hardship it is facing. Sultana says he has hardly any savings and job opportunities in the town are scant, leaving little prospect of getting on the property ladder that has been the source of much of the wealth for many Australian baby boomers. "The local shopping centre is probably the best chance of a job in Nowra. It is either that or you have to leave," said Sultana, adding he will vote for Labor at next election because of their support for young and low-income workers. 2) Australian Budget Day : Budget 2018-19, will be released at approximately 7.30 pm (AEST) on Tuesday 8 May 2018, as the TReasurer commences his second reading speech. Hence, our time,.... 5.30pm on the same day. Those who have Astros's in their homes, turn to Channel AOne Plus (Channel 593, I think,....), but it's one channel after Bloomberg,... to watch live Mr Morrison speaking at The Parliament in Canberra,.... |

A word of notice here for any shareholders here in Malaysia who hold the counter : TAW in The ASX.
TAW of Australia has merged with Alliance Mineral Assets Ltd (AMAL) in The SGX. One of the actions affecting our shares is as in the following :- Points effecting JSE Tawana shareholders: - exerts from merge file on Tawana website Excluded Shareholder means AMAL and its associates. Excluded Shares means Tawana Shares held by Excluded Shareholders on the Record Date. Implementation Date means the fifth Business Day following the Record Date or such other date as is agreed in writing by Tawana and AMAL. Ineligible Shareholder means a Scheme Participant whose address shown in the Register on the Record Date is a place outside Australia and its external territories, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Singapore and South Africa, unless AMAL determines that it is lawful and not unduly onerous or impracticable to issue or provide a Scheme Participant with an address outside those jurisdictions with AMAL Shares under the Scheme. A Scheme Participant (other than an Ineligible Shareholder) who does not validly elect to receive SGX Consideration Shares will receive ASX Consideration Shares. Accordingly, a Scheme Participant who wishes to receive ASX Consideration Shares does not need to make an election under this clause 6.1. Quotation of Tawana Shares (a) Tawana will apply to ASX to suspend trading on ASX in Tawana Shares with effect from the close of trading on ASX on the Effective Date. ( [IMG] After the Scheme has been fully implemented, Tawana will apply: (i) for termination of the Official Quotation of Tawana Shares on ASX and termination of official quotation of Tawana Shares on JSE; and (ii) to have itself removed from the official list of the ASX and JSE. Hence, if your address shown in the Register for TAW shares is outside anyone of the above countries, your shares will be SOLD away. AMAL has appointed a sales agent to sell all Ineligible Shares. This is one of the risks of investing in ASX shares. Even if your hold your shares via an account in SG, but should your address shows a Malaysian Address in their records, then you are subjected to having your shares sold-off forcibly if a specific corporate action takes place. Above came about from some discussions I had with a shareholder from the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) of South Africa,... |

QUOTE(Hansel @ Oct 9 2017, 10:04 AM) CMW has a practical approach,... this is good, and they like to have friendly transactions,.... Hoping they will announce that they are listing again in the SGX,... with a modified portfolio of assets and lower number of unit issuance,... CROMWELL SELLS STAKE IN IOF Cromwell Property Group (ASX:CMW) today announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell its entire stake in Investa Office Fund (ASX:IOF) for $4.65 per unit. Cromwell Property Securities Limited as responsible entity for the Cromwell Diversified Property Trust purchased its 9.83% stake in IOF for $4.24 per unit on 12 April 2016. The agreed sale price of $4.65 per unit represents a premium to the IOF closing price on 3 October 2017 and an annualised Equity Internal Rate of Return of 18%. “The investment in IOF has been a profitable one for Cromwell,” said Cromwell Chief Executive Officer Paul Weightman. We would have liked to have been able to complete a deal, but as I have said previously, it became obvious to us that a friendly transaction was unlikely to proceed, regardless of the price that we offered.” “Upon careful consideration of all of our options, we have therefore decided that the best way forward for Cromwell securityholders is to realise the value in our investment.” “We will continue to focus on delivering value to our securityholders through the different strategic initiatives that we are currently undertaking,” added Mr. Weightman. The proceeds of the sale will be used to reduce gearing and for other general corporate purposes. QUOTE(Hansel @ Oct 12 2017, 12:49 PM) CMW's price has recovered and is slowly inching-up again after divesting IOF ! In spite of the failed listing on the SGX, it is still doing well in the ASX ! Recapping here what I said in the above from October last year. Touched a high of 1 AUD yesterday,... yes. I noticed CMW is holding strong in its price till today with s many disruptions in the mkt,... Yes, the following are the right moves :- 1) Divesting IOF in a NICE WAY without any corporate 'fights'. 2) Changing it's conditions and then managed to re-list CEREIT in the SGX. CEREIT is performing satisfactorily now,... I'm not a unitholder in CEREIT, but a mere observer because I hold the parent company's shares in The ASX. My theories in the above were recently 'reinforced' by Mr John Lim of ARA who has bought into a big stake in CMW recently,... think in the last few weeks, saw the article somewhere,.. I am relieved I may be right here ! |

QUOTE(prince_mk @ May 7 2018, 09:57 AM) Okay,.. the you will have to wait for that 'letter' on taxation for non-resident that will be issued at the appropriate date as announced in the dividend ann't bulletin. Your case would be similar to RYan's case in the above,...There is one element in the REIT's distribution called Non-Australian Income. This income is Non-Taxable to ALL unitholders,.... Hence, the higher the component of this income to the overall distribution, the better it is to All unitholders. |
