Problem with dota 2

1) Game is TOO long.

5 mins to matchmaking.
1.2 mins to wait everyone to finish loading up
1 min to wait for battle to begin

average about 40-55mins of game

total time wasted = 1 HOUR per game



2) you can't quit game without being penalized, so you HAVE to stay ONE HOUR to listen to rage people ranting, complaining, etc, pinging incessantly


3)80% of players in SEA servers are filled with pinoys with their typical disruptive selfish behavior that spoils the game 80% of the time.


Sometimes I wonder if this game actually attracts THIS type of people, me included. I think i am beginning to become like the obnoxious rage retard. Have to STOP this nonsense game.

1hour per game is normal in dota... even the old version(dota 1) just like similar time around 1hour. When created a game at online, wait for other player to join might be 5 to 10 mins, go into loading game screen, wait for all player connected to the game, game time around 30 to 60 mins... the end almost average 1 hour per game as well.

SEA server not only pinoys playing, sometime i have saw indonesia, thailand, MY, SG or even japanese as well.

about the attitube, this thing really .... sohai. most of asean player is just want to show their "Pro" to other player, never appreciate and respect to other teamate. every game just like gambling, when u have good teamate that is good luck for u, otherwise is bad luck.

Yea, I just realized, if I solely want to "entertain" myself, why should i spend 1 hour to get pissed with all the rage players, get scolded, etc?

There are other better ways to entertain - watch movies, even play PS4, diablo 3 .

dota 2 is a competitive game, and from my observation, it brings the filth out of everyone who plays it.


The old version of dota, you have the option to just quit the game.

This dota 2, you can't. I think this is part of the problem, because players are "forced" to stay in the game even if they don't like it. You don't feel happy about it, so naturally you will start to rage too.

It's been fun, but for 3 years of dota 2, it's enough.

I tried play with my friends, i tell you - they also got this rage problem in game. Seriously it brings the worst out of everyone.

U can choose to no playing with sohai, i would suggest to u. then go ahead play with AI... solved.

it is competitive and u are NOT supposed to leave in the middle of a game! go back to single player where the casuals are if u are too noob to play competitive.

most competitive games like cs:go and overwatch penalize people who leave in the middle of the game in ranking so don't rant if u can't take the challenge.

u sound like someone who can't have any commitment and u can't even commit to 1 game. if u just wanna game for 10 minutes, go and play mobile game. maybe u belong to the casual gamers community like most girls.

dota teaches you how to coordinate tactics, control your emotion, put down your ego, alertness and fast decision making. seems that you don't even have any of the trait so move on, casual.

Almost all MOBA or modern FPS is like that, thats why I rather play solo or WRPG games where i can mod them titties and play them beside my gf.
But you kiddos love waiting games, that's why market is huge for these waiting games.

Yes, if you want to spend short timing in one game why don't you go for custom game? since you mentioned dota 2 such a "Gane is TOO long". I have a quick question when you having your meal why don't you directly place your meal to your stomach? Its faster then you eating. Since you can't right because you are enjoying your meal. Same meaning, when you playing a competitive game you are currently enjoying the game not trying to rush or sometime.

well i have seen games at 7000 MMR, with people say
"my teammates are stupid" at the end of the game.

i think thats problem with your mindset, if your mindset wanna rage playing overwatch you still raging.

whenever i started a match, if i doesnt have any positive vibe i just mute the chat and play my own games. like role-playing.

but thing that makes me rage right now is the packet loss, my packet loss is permanent 2%-3% and i dont know why. not download or upload anything and im the only one using the internet. speedtest seems fine.

getting micro-stutter in game is worst than having cancer teammate cause i cant even last hit properly.

well actually look at another side, u are able to control your emotion after all the cancerous happen in dota 2

Yep. Sold my 5k acc after wasting nearly 3.5k hours on it. My grades (uni student) and social life has suffered a lot playing this game so much. I always try to quit but then will reinstall a few days later. If you are a competitive guy, you will get addicted to this game easily. I started off as a noob at 2.2k mmr and climbed to 5k solo q only in about 3 years. But then you realise that most people playing this game at high MMR are already super addicted and can't stop even if they wanted to, and you are becoming like them. It's no different from drug/alcohol addiction (only that it doesn't affect your physical health much). Sadly most of us players don't even have a job/good education and are wasting our youth on this game.

It's important to recognise when you are addicted and stop... I wish I never started playing Dota 2 when my friends introduced the game to me. I went from being a straight A student to barely being able to pass uni exams.

I used to be competitive last few month, but now rarely playing due to job. when on weekend, play 1 game but then quit. its not fun as it used to be. unless for player who grind mmr, thats the fun. but honestly, theres no point in climbing mmr, im 6k+ and still cant be professional player. no one will recognize u lol.


p/s: to those mmr climber, if u climb to show off to ur friend, just quit, its useless. (salty af )
