hi all, x-fi xtreme audio pci express user reporting in. .
still the greatest budget sound card!
add some characteristics to speakers that don't have their own,,

have used it for altec lansing acs 45.1, sonic gear blue thunder 1, altec lansing vs4121
add some brightness to acs 45.1 little heavy bass,
enchances the details from sonic gear bt1 and add some punch to the bass
performs slight better at vs4121(just slightly, I think this speaker already has its characteristics)

now planning to use it on c3 or s330d,, still thinking of which one though hmm.gif

Hey guys,

whats the difference between Audigy Value, USB, and the latest X-Fi series? apart from the price difference laugh.gif

I'm using Edifier C3 and Steelseries Siberia.

Which card should I use to fully utilize the features of my sound system?

Thanks

as for c3, I highly recommend the x-fi series(on your budget).
the x-fi characteristic is making the bass more punchy, the treble brighter
audigy value, only improves the sound quality from onboard sound without its spesific sound character.
the c3 sounds really depend on your source(soundcard), bad sounds bad good sounds good..
its because c3 doesn't have its own sound characteristics, its sound quality is very detail though..
use the pci slot don't use usb(for desktop), its useless IMO.
as for Steelseries Siberia, I can't recommend anything. don't even know the speaker smile.gif

hope it helps

Thanks for the reply. Thats really informative. Really appreciated it.  notworthy.gif

Am just curious here, what about the Fatality series and other brands like Asus XONAR? Extra features?

Anyway I guess I'll go for either Xtreme Audio or Titanium as my budget allows. Whaddaya think?

Fatal1ty series have x-ram features, thats great to accelerate gaming performance's sounds(as games have massive background/environment sound, and positioning)

if u like games, I highly recommend u using the fatality series as my brother does. .
if u don't and only uses the soundcard for music&movies, get the x-treme audio x-fi, it get the same performance as the fatal1tys for the job.
however, if u can increase your budget higher, u can take a look for asus xonar's series.
I got the info from my friends that these cards sounds warmer for music. .
