last week i just bought X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro from Bliz to replace my 3 years old audigy value. find out that stereo sound only best in ACM.

the tweaking quite difficult compare to previous audigy. last time the audigy software can enable 7.1 CMSS-3D in "real" stereo xpand but the current fatal1ty pro only can produce stereo surround or "non" stereo xpand (rear & side speaker sound like surround) in E-Mode.

only ACM can give me true stereo xpand but left out center speaker. i can't enable center/sub in ACM cuz this will "overwhelming" the sub volume end up the bass is too loud & sound distorted. the bass level dial also can't help much for the adjust. back to audigy, this problem never happen....

& this fatal1ty pro really got "amp", i can't push the master volume any higher than 50%+ this will cause the sound having high dB in stereo sound. but when come to watch 720p movies, the master volume can push 100% max! this is really helpfull cuz i don't need to adjust my speaker volume till 3/4 most of the 720p movies in 5.1 ac3filter is sound too low...

anyway, this card really outperform my previous audigy value. i can feel the high & low frequency is much more sharper & deeper + the bass is tighter
