irrelevant? are you going to say the EAX standard will die out soon?
they do not support EAX based on two reasons.
1. Most of the gamer still using onboard sound.
2. The game developer not capable to produce the EAX sound game...
Why you need to bother the card is EAX capable or not? even Asus marketing their sound card with EAX...The Creative EAX lead from others from EAX4.0 and EAX5.0, and the game just simply can't catch up with this standard...just think as ATI GC DirectX10.1 support, who care the 10.1 standard got any title support or not, at least the standard is ahead now...
hm, so will more game developers use EAX? I'm not really bothered if the card is EAX compatible or not, I just want software-driver support that works with Vista -- from my past experience, creative has been horrible with their drivers -- if you remember that incident where they tried to sue that guy who made drivers for the card because creative were too slow in developing them!
I just don't trust them anymore and would rather go with another name company. However, this is an x-fi thread, so I would like to know if you guys are happy with your choice, and if you could buy another card, would you, and what would it be?
