I think the Audiotrak is 'audiophile' standard sound card right. For DJs and musicians.

1. where can i get Audiotrak soundcard? is it compatible with PC speaker?

2. what do you think of Asus Xonar? is it better than X-Fi XtremeMusic? I never care for the EAX, Crystalizer, SuperEQ and rhe CMSS...

Some opamp have benefits of higher voltage, as it sounds smoother and more detail, like LME49720. On my DAC, it sound significantly better and smoother at 13.64V as compared to 5V on PC (although there is more things than voltage that is different though). Tap it carefully, I managed to destroy my entire analog line because of wrong tapping, not just opamp that is burnt, everything else dead too

Talking about caps, Panasonic FM is good too

You all even modified your SC? Is it dangerous and void the warranty?

Is EAX still relevant?? I know the latest is EAX5.0, during Windows XP era many game have feature of EAX in the game sound setting..but new game nowaday all i see is Dolby Surround which is built in the game instead of EAX hardware acceleration.

EAX is not dead yet, but why companies opt to use their own sound engine instead of EAX? IS it because onboard audio now is reliable?

how about the X-Fi Surround 5.1? if it uses the new chip , then i reckon its pretty cheap and good.

If you read the box it say "XtremeAudio technology" something like that. So technically it use same chip as XtremeAudio

Monster cable didn't do much difference for speaker like C3 unless you're using expensive HiFi. C3 easily can reach it full potential by using onboard SC with proper placement of the subwoofer and eq tuning. Or you can buy a consumer grade sound card like Creative X-Fi, Asus, Audiotrak etc..

the keyword in the new product :- "HD".
I know some people out there willing to fork their $$$ just because of that word without bother about the full specs.
