The Chile superstar, 27, is out of contract in 2018 and has yet to sign a new deal.

He cut a despondent figure after Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday - their second loss in a row.

It prompted supporters to rush on to Twitter using the hashtag #FreeSanchez.

One fan tagged Chelsea in his tweet and wrote: “@chelseafc #FreeSanchez.”

Another desperate Red Devils fan was keen on Manchester United signing the Gunners star.

Chelsea have no intention of sending Michy Batshuayi out in loan next month.

The Guardian reports that Blues boss Antonio Conte is not about to allow the Belgian striker leave temporarily in January despite a number of clubs expected to make loan bids.

Batshuayi joined Chelsea from Marseille for £33.2million in the summer but is yet to start in the Premier League for the West Londoners, suggesting that perhaps he could be looking for regular game time elsewhere.

West Ham United are showing considerable interest in a loan offer for the for 23-year-old but that will be knocked back by Conte who believes the former Standard Liege forward will benefit greatly from training with Chelsea and acting as Diego Costa's only senior back-up in a title tilt.

With Costa suspended for the Boxing Day clash with AFC Bournemouth, Batshuayi will get his chance to impress Conte in a starting role for the Premier League leaders.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte admits they could buy in January.

Conte says they must consider all options next month.

"We must be very pleased for the achievement we have reached now, but it is logical that I look with my club for a solution to arrive in a good position at the end of the season," said Conte.

"I don't know what will happen in January but in this situation it is important to talk with my club – we have a fantastic relationship – but I have my idea and I prefer to discuss this with the club."

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante says the attitude at Stamford Bridge is similar to what he experienced with champions Leicester City last season.

Kante has been outstanding for Chelsea since his summer move from the Foxes.

"The year spent in Leicester will stay in my memory," he told the Sunday Times.

"In Leicester, we wanted to win, not lose and fight every minute. It's like Chelsea. But the difference is that Chelsea is a champion club that has won everything.

Gary Neville is confident Chelsea will outlast all their rivals to win the Premier League.

Speaking on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, the former Manchester United captain believes Antonio Conte's Blues have the right mix between playing passing football and becoming happily involved in a closely fought contest.

Neville also believes that their nearest rivals Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal are incapable of showing the same resolve which gives the West Londoners an extra benefit.

"It is a long way to go and what I would say is to win a title you need consistency," Neville said.

"Arsenal, City and Liverpool are playing a very mobile, agile style of football. Power, pace, strength have always been important facets of winning titles, you go back to all the teams that have won it, even the Leicester team of last season.

"And if I look at the Chelsea team and the actual spine of it, and you think of [N'Golo] Kante, [Nemanja] Matic, [Diego] Costa, [Cesar] Azpilicueta, [David] Luiz, [Gary] Cahill, experience, reliability, strength, power.

"You feel like they could play in a game of football, they could play in a nasty game, they could play in a good game, a passing game, they could play on a cold night, they could take punches, they could fight with you, they could do everything that you would particularly want to do to win a league.

"I always get the feeling with the other three teams at the moment that they are not robust enough to be able to cope with the punches when they come. The punches will always come in a 38-game season and you have to be able to withstand them and maybe even go down and get back up.

"And that is where at this moment in time this Chelsea team stand out for me, in terms of the strength of their spine, the power that exists in there, the reliability, the solidity just looks so much better.

"But injuries, loss of form can happen, but the other three teams would have to do something very different than what has been done before and that is win with a different style of play."

Chelsea currently lead the league by six points over second-placed Liverpool having won their past 11 matches in a row.

Jamie Carragher believes only an injury to Diego Costa will stop Chelsea from winning this season's Premier League title.

The Brazilian-born Spanish striker has 13 goals for the high-flying Blues so far this term, including six in his past eight outings.

The scoring run of Costa has helped Chelsea win 11 matches on the trot and Sky Sports pundit Carragher feels his presence could be vital in Antonio Conte's men clinching the 2016/17 premiership.

"You think of an injury to Costa, he has been the standout player in the Premier League so far, he looks like the Costa we saw when he first came," he said on Monday Night Football.

"God knows what happened to some of these players in that year with Jose Mourinho, I think you do not just question Mourinho, question this group of players.

"But I always felt Chelsea would have a good season - I tipped them to come second behind Man City at the start of the season - they have title winners in there, people who have been there, done it before."

Everything has gone swimmingly for Antonio Conte’s Chelsea since switching to a three-back formation after a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in September, with the Blues winning eleven consecutive matches in the Premier League and proving to be extremely difficult to break down.

With a side brimming with stars, Chelsea look competent from back to front and Conte has built an under-performing side from last season into one of the fiercest in the world, all without making too many changes in the transfer market.

Utilising the majority of the squad he inherited, Thibaut Courtois has been amongst those revitalised under the Italian and no goalkeeper in Europe’s top five leagues has kept more clean sheets than the Belgian this season.

Only Marseille’s Yohann Pele can boast an equal tally to Chelsea’s stopper, whilst the fact that the other two goalkeepers within the top four also both come from French football is another good omen for Chelsea.

It means Courtois has more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper from Germany, Spain, England or Italy this season, which is a tremendous statistic when you consider he’s ahead of the likes of Manuel Neuer, Gianluigi Buffon and Jan Oblak.
