agree on this. however, i think fabregas is a very good 'Plan B' player. start the game with usual combination of Matic - Kante. In 2nd half, switch somebody to accommodate fabregas in case we cannot break opponent's defense. Matic at times very good with his distribution but at times, he look short of ideas.

matic doesn't usually create chance IMO..he is there to control d midfield, hold the ball n spread it across the field, to open up space while kante will provide the key passes to others to create chances (passing to hazard, moses etc)

he's a super sub in 2nd half if chelsea can't unlock the opponent's defence

for me, the bolded part is matic's role.. kante is already covering the back four.

we do have superb players on the flank.. hazard/alonso + pedro/willian/moses.. i just thought we need to have somebody from the center to supply the ammunition as well.

which is why in some games this season, i think we were playing a bit defensively against team who sit tight in their own half. because matic turned fully defensive in combination with kante who is already in the same mode.

Sometimes kesian Sanchez kena lure by Wenger with big project winning titles. Ingat got chance jor when Ozil come on board and will buy more stars players previous few transfer Windows but tarak. Now kena tembak if not preformed cos there is no other star players to be blamed or share the burden.
