well we cant put ourselves the same level as United brand recognition..thats why we need UCL, trophies and good club culture to attract great players. Yes all the great club history, brand and managers can get you better players but it wont be for long before you are paying more than market values for new players..and your own players leaving for title-winning clubs..

talking about mentality and playing style..safe to say that we had couple of mentality and playing styles over the years..

gullit-mou = very attacking side with european flavours, mentality very optimist and expressive.

mou-carlo = defensively very solid, playing counter attack, effective and efficient football, us against the world but with a winning mentality.

carlo-mou = very attacking side with european flavours, mentality very optimist but the defensive aspects and winning mentality from mou-carlo era still part of the team fabric.

mou-conte = defensively very solid, playing counter attack with a better attacking flair, effective and efficient football, us against the world but with a winning mentality.

conte = very attacking side with european flavours, mentality very optimist and expressive but the defensive aspects and winning mentality from second mou era still part of the team fabric. we are back to effective and efficient football.

Burnley Away - Tough, they are one 5 straight home game wins.

Swansea Home - Paul Clement return to Stamford Bridge, home game should be okay but need to work hard against improved Swansea.

West Ham Away - another London derby..always tough..do not underestimate Carroll and co.

Watford Home - I think we can win this home game, but it wont be easy.

Stoke Away - Never easy for us..but at this moment their home form not that great..not so sure after 4 games before this fixture.

Palace Home - should be okay because it is home game..but against struggling side late into the season not my favourite fixture.

see..not an easy run of games...

I think in the next 5 games, Cesc will play a crucial role to break down a ultra defensive opponents..maybe even dropping Costa to play Willian-Hazard-Pedro combo..all about pace..

yap..at least we got a good plan B and C..just hope that if anything happens Conte change it early and not waiting too late.

because top 6 opponents managed to keep him quite..with marking and closing down..plus his play style also wont help against top end opponents.

to be fair only Arsenal that truly beat us convincingly..but only for the first half tho, we were on 3-4-3 mode in the second half..

Liverpool and Spurs lost..both almost 50-50 game..we were beaten, no complain here but we were not that far behind performance wise.

somehow that side need some changes..too short to prevent crosses..

we faced the same problem before this, and still facing it occasionally..but we have another trick to break down a bus..not just with magic..but with intentionally losing the possession to the opponent..we conceded the ball and invite them to play..it is a risky tactics but you can only do it with a very solid defensive unit.

maybe one of the reason why suddenly today got news on conte talking about cesc in the same vein as pirlo.

for the next 5 games including the game today..our worst case scenario is 3 wins 2 draws..we can't do any worse than that if we wanna win the league.
