I think the 'What You Hear' is the loopback internally without using cables, that is why its perfect, I can do something similar with my HD2 using DirectWire
Don't worry about the spikes, as long as it sounds great you should be fine. If you concern then check your card physically

QUOTE(Deerc @ Apr 28 2008, 04:08 PM) can i ask sumthin... my xtreme music non heatsink version. should i add a heatsink? if you didn't experience any system hang, then no problem... My XtremeMusic got heatsink, but my X-FI sandwich between two TV cards which at top and below, and i experience a lot of system hang, after a few days of troubleshoot, i certified sound card overheat problem solved after i add one 8cm fan to blow that 3 cards... So, actually the heatsink is useless if no air flow... This post has been edited by coolkwc: Apr 28 2008, 04:21 PM

My XFi i put CM BlueIce's heatsink on it, well i polished the surface of the heatsink for greater heat transfer rate, but i guess it doesn't matter also la

I using TT player to listen songs, MX volume at 1.5 - 2 star. After 2 hours, i touch my ZS chipset and the temperature is normal. Then I set my speaker volume to 3.5 - 4. After 30minutes, my ZS chipset temperature changed from normal to hot. This was my experience during few months ago, i miss my ZS very much...lo and sorry for my poor English grammar, I will try to use proper English
