everything works fine...

Can join the club here biggrin.gif

ah.. May I ask a noob question to all sifus ?
Do you enable all the EAX , 24-Bit Crystalizer , SVM and EQ ?

If I enable all , isit messed up or ?
I very noob at audio , so sorry cry.gif
*
Depends on your ears and your speaker.

Most people don't put SVM on i guess, EAX is for game.

EQ & crystalizer, well, if your ears aren't satisfied by the sound produced, you might wanna alter the adjustment, not too much.

In order to extend the lifespan of the SC and tighter bass i guess.

Anyone can do it for me? tongue.gif
My hand will shake when soldering. laugh.gif

XTREME does the modding service, he helped 1 member already last week just so you know.
PM him for more details biggrin.gif

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Jun 3 2008, 10:28 AM)
hehe, ppl here all swap opamp, not the coupling cap...ask Najmods or UNDERGROUD see whether they can do it for you...

EDIT: since you are using VS4121 brows.gif , throw it away before any modding on the sound card because VS4121 not deserve to pair with X-FI and the mod won't give you any audible improvement...

Here it comes, another Very Shit tongue.gif whistling.gif
FYI, I didn't swap the OPM on my own actually, a technician helped me last time due to lack of experience and tools.

Well, you won't care much about eye candy after you know the diff between the modded and non-modded SC.

QUOTE(Najmods @ Jun 4 2008, 03:28 PM)
The opamp will give the biggest improvement of all, 2nd is the decoupling caps. The DSP is only for longer lifespan since the Jamicon crap is prone to leaking and burst

I suggest you check the voltage on the places you want to change the caps, buy the one that have the closest one to the nominal voltage, going too high is not advisable, since it will makes the spec worse because you don't use at their rated voltage
*
I changed all my decoupling caps from 16v to 35v, is it bad ?

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Jun 4 2008, 03:55 PM)
hehe, here is the voltage of all caps...

http://img135.imageshack.us/my.php?image=x...voltagesgl3.jpg

EDIT: OMG, just test the RMAA, all 3 distortion and intermodulation test went down 10% after i only change the DSP supply cap, unbelievable... shocking.gif

EDIT2: well, i have addicted on modding sad.gif so i take out the card once again and do "second phase" modding tongue.gif ...i desolder the Rubycon MBZ 1000uf 10v from still working MX440 GC shocking.gif and put into the C46 opamp supply cap....OMG, this time i really hear the different when i plug the earphone and set it to max bass + max volume...the image the of bass still there and the sound only suffer minor distortion even on those setting compare with unmodded...huge different man... shocking.gif  blink.gif BTW, i think i will change that cap to another later because the cap is too 'fat' and actually the cap already 5-6 year...
*
Wait till you swap the opamp brows.gif
