QUOTE(sHawTY @ Jul 23 2008, 10:29 AM) Just bought an X-Fi Fatal1ty from AllnGap. I found one, look hereAnyone here can give me a copy of a Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Fatal1ty Driver Installation CD? I want the full CD copy, not the 4X.XXMB driver from Creative support website. The driver from Creative Support site is just a basic driver. I hope this isn't against the rules of LYN. If its illegal then PM me, I think there is nothing wrong sharing drivers, since we need the actual cards to get it work in the first place |

I don't think you need to connect the floppy power to the card, unless you use the I/O drive bay
May I ask, you on Vista or XP? I use driver named SBXF_PCDRV_LB_2_15_0006 download from Creative site on Windows XP. I have zero problem EDIT: spelling This post has been edited by Najmods: Jul 24 2008, 02:55 PM |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Aug 6 2008, 09:24 AM) Ok, i get it. Last time i was doing this test, for EAX, i have to use analog connection to my receiver to get the effects. So now, we can use the digital connection, which saves a lot of hassle and cables. About the decoder, you can select whether you want an external one to decode the bitstream or you want the card to decode it for you, means you don't need external decoder to get DTS/DDBut does this mean my receiver also have to support DTS Live/ DD Live? But i think i saw some new mobos with built in sound also support DTS/DD live!!! And they're quite cheap! So what does this "unlock in Vista" means? Is it there or is it not? Oh yeah, i remember now, i started this thread...didn't realized so many people here already...ha-ha... Unlock means the driver now can use them, which are locked before |

QUOTE(kerollowyat @ Aug 19 2008, 01:25 AM) I'm using X-Fi XtremeMusic. You can or you can't? Volume taskbar didn't allow you to change mode? I don't quite understand what you trying to say there. You need to change mod in Creative Audio Console. Write it properly and maybe I could help, and did you use Vista or XP?How exactly the right ways to install new driver. First, I run the update wihout uninstalling the old driver. The setup uninstall it. Restart and install new driver. Everything is good, except, I can change any mode, ie Entertainment Mode to Game Mode, vice versa. The Volume Panel at the taskbar didnt allowed me to change the mode. It said, no support for the application. Secondly, I uninstalled the old driver from device manager, restart to safe mode, run driver cleaner, restart, and install new driver. Restart, still the same prob. Now, install back old driver from installation CD. Care to share some tips |

Then I install Driver Cleaner, after reboot I go to safe mode and clear up the driver with Cab cleaner. After cleaning up and reboot then I install the new driverIs it right to uninstall it from device manager. Care to share how you do it. |

QUOTE(kerollowyat @ Aug 19 2008, 11:51 PM) Which one you uninstall. There are only two that related to Creative. Remove both. The first one should be Creative Audio Console is it?1. Creative system information 2. Soundblaster X-Fi If I uninstall the 2nd one - Soundblaster X-Fi, install new driver. Then I have new driver, but no mode. Only the driver. I tried this before. |

QUOTE(umiseaz @ Sep 11 2008, 04:34 PM) halo ! i plan to buy X-Fi Xtreme Music.... XtremeAudio is just a rebadged Audigy SE, which is NOT even an Audigy series in the first place. About the pairing, I think you'll be fine with thatmy speaker is Edifier S2.1M ~ (it is a perfect pairing ? ) additonal question : X-Fi Xtreme Music same as X-Fi Xtreme audio ? QUOTE(ben3003 @ Sep 11 2008, 09:30 PM) How about the entertainment mode? Good for movies? Y i open bit matched playback, the thing i heard was like dampened... Dampened? weird, for me, everything is much clearer and cleaner, for music at least. Entertainment is used for movies IMOIt depends on your ear, if you like you use all the enhancement you like, like Crystallizer, CMSS 3D or even EAX effects. For people who likes to hear audio like its meant to be heard from the studio, use Audio Creation mode with Bit Matched playback plus use ASIO as an output on media player itself This post has been edited by Najmods: Sep 12 2008, 01:56 AM |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Sep 12 2008, 08:04 AM) Probably u guys are listening CD or DVD audio. am just listening to MP3 only lolz. And the CMSS 3D should i set all the way to surround when watching movies? I dunno how to play with it lolz. Not really, not all my music is lossless or WAV format. Most of it is still in mp3, even as low as 128kbps. About CMSS-3D, why don't you adjust it to suit your ear |

QUOTE(wen9x88 @ Sep 18 2008, 09:50 PM) oh,then what is mean ASIO? Sigh....don't be lazy to Google for it. Don't expect people to spoonfeed you, this is no kindergardencan make the sound better ? Adds ASIO output support. 1.2.6 release highlights: added ability to access sound card driver's ASIO control panel though virtual ASIO device editor.? how to use it ? Read about ASIO here Its easy, just extract the dll (named foo_out_asio.dll) to the components folder in foobar directory. First you need to use Audio Creation mode and enable bit perfect playback. After that go to foobar preferences, on output there is new tab named 'ASIO Virtual Device'. Press Add button, thne it say Creative ASIO and press OK. On the 'Output', select 'ASIO: Creative ASIO' as the Output Device and you are done |

QUOTE(FiSHjIGN @ Oct 3 2008, 12:13 AM) No they dont use the same pinout. Check the schematics for the PCB. The SPDIF pinouts are beside AUD_EXT Yup true, the SPDIF out is on top of AUD_EXT. I currently use it directly connect to my external DAC. If anyone needs its pinouts plus AUD_EXT I'll post them here |
