Just bought an X-Fi Fatal1ty from AllnGap.

Anyone here can give me a copy of a Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Fatal1ty Driver Installation CD?
I want the full CD copy, not the 4X.XXMB driver from Creative support website.

The driver from Creative Support site is just a basic driver.

I hope this isn't against the rules of LYN.

Ok, i get it. Last time i was doing this test, for EAX, i have to use analog connection to my receiver to get the effects. So now, we can use the digital connection, which saves a lot of hassle and cables.

But does this mean my receiver also have to support DTS Live/ DD Live? But i think i saw some new mobos with built in sound also support DTS/DD live!!! And they're quite cheap!

So what does this "unlock in Vista" means? Is it there or is it not?

Oh yeah, i remember now, i started this thread...didn't realized so many people here already...ha-ha...

I'm using X-Fi XtremeMusic.

How exactly the right ways to install new driver.
First, I run the update wihout uninstalling the old driver. The setup uninstall it. Restart and install new driver. Everything is good, except, I can change any mode, ie Entertainment Mode to Game Mode, vice versa. The Volume Panel at the taskbar didnt allowed me to change the mode. It said, no support for the application.

Secondly, I uninstalled the old driver from device manager, restart to safe mode, run driver cleaner, restart, and install new driver. Restart, still the same prob.

Now, install back old driver from installation CD.

Which one you uninstall. There are only two that related to Creative.

1. Creative system information
2. Soundblaster X-Fi

If I uninstall the 2nd one - Soundblaster X-Fi, install new driver. Then I have new driver, but no mode. Only the driver.
I tried this before.

How about the entertainment mode? Good for movies? Y i open bit matched playback, the thing i heard was like dampened...

Probably u guys are listening CD or DVD audio.  am just listening to MP3 only lolz. And the CMSS 3D should i set all the way to surround when watching movies? I dunno how to play with it lolz.

No they dont use the same pinout. Check the schematics for the PCB. The SPDIF pinouts are beside AUD_EXT

any 1 using OEM Creative XtremeGamer 0730,  ? the performence ok or not ?

i see .. i thought gt 2 different version extreme gamer .. 1 is rm150 1 is rm300
so it is the same la .. okok .. thx .. so the size does not effect anything ?

any1 here facing crack sound in using OEM sb0730 xtremegamer, the card had tested well in computer B, when used it in computer A,it will perform crack sound...wat problem is tat?driver or hardware?
