Hey guys, i got a xbox one from us, and i know you cant use the power brick here because of voltage, but recently i purchased a power brick(asia set) from impulse, and i managed to turn if on, but only for a while, it keeps on shutting down randomly, anyone can help me what is the issue here? can we use asia power brick on us xbox set?

yes you can use Asia power brick for US Xbox, most early adopters of Xbox One from US use 3rd party power brick, or had someone modify the US power brick to 240-250v.

i remember someone here did it long time back, but i use a step down transformer my self.

Do note that the original power brick comes with a fan inside, 3rd party doesnt it may have some buzzing sound/noise, if it overheats it might cut off power.

edit: btw if you have a Xbox One S then you should be able to use it over here, the internal build adapter had voltage rating of 100-240, be sure to check the back panel for information.

so far there is no Xbox One overheat issue, its the power adapter that you had is giving issue. you can try buying a stepup/down transformer from electronic shops/ACE Hardware 350w above (Xbox needs 320w max) its around RM150-180 then you can use back your original US adapter.

how long were you using this Asia adapter you had ? what about your Xbox, did it work for sometime already?

Just get a step down transformer and use the original power brick, used to sell < RM20 in Jalan Pasar.
