The FW series have two variants. The higher end version, VGN-FW13 is RM8988 with Blueray drive. The lower end one VGN-FW12 without the Blueray and slightly lower specifications retails for RM4988. The freebies for new models aren't as good as the current or outgoing models. They only offer a free VAIO bag and overseas warranty.

I think the SZ will be a better deal because of the specifications. Anyway the FW series's battery life is a little short. Up to 2.5 hours only.

I like FW so much.. Top class and sexy design with Full HD output and bigger resolution compared to FZ for only RM4988.. Who wants to buy my FZ17?

I used to work in one of Sony Style store.

I'll buy outside (normal dealer shop) if i want more free gift. but can't help much in discount, because VAIO margin sales are tight.

If i want quality assurance (goods, after sales service and suggestion) i'll buy from Sony Style as you all know they are all official, they can't cheat under the name of Sony Malaysia (Sony Style is direct Sony malaysia store). And i can get free Sony Style membership with 10 points for every laptop i purchase. Other product RM50 spend = 1 point. FYI 1 point = RM1) Withe the membership you can get free workshop and Sony sales special invitation.

for Sony Credit Card which under Maybank, it will be giving free 1 year SEW(Sony Extended Warranty)...but i not sure it apply for Vaio or not, but other products such as bravia, handycam and cybershot can have this benefit..

i will go for FW12 or SR13..both using new processor..ati radeon HD 3470...its better than FZ and SZ...both models also discontinue already...

Yeah the CR is indeed heavy and thick by today's standard. Never expected a 14.1" to be this bulky. One thing I find good is that it can hold a very large heatsink inside its large frame.

Mine is indigo blue. Haha... yea blazing red is awesome, it is just that i prefer indigo blue. Too bad there is no black colour... Haha
