Since you just bought it on today, straight away go back to the retail shop on tml.
Or if you want to save trouble, try to do recovery on your own.
Then try al over again.

If that is the case, i would suggest you to go back to the retail shop and ask them to burn the recovery disc for you.
Well, if you bought ur laptop from Sony style, they will do it for you FOC but with the condition that you must purchase 3 disc from their retail shop.

Or just drop by at KLCC Sony Style and ask them to do it for you, FOC.

Another one more disc wasted !!

Well, there is a hidden partition inside your laptop which act as recovery partition.
To be safe, i would ask you to burn out a recovery copies into DVD just incase it has been overwrite during reformating it to Window XP.
You can't recover back your vista business by pressing F10 after you downgrade it.
I tried it once on SZ79 for my previous customer before, the recovery partition no longer there.

But remember, before you do the downgrade thingy, please remember to download XP drivers for your model from Sonywebsite.
