Hi, i'm the owner of FE18GP, been using it for 2.5 yrs with it. But now i have problems with the keyboard. 6 keys are not functioning properly. They are letter 9,0,o,l and , and .

I can hardly get them, say if i press 50 times or keep pressing for 10-20 sec then i can get them. Is it likely to be the keyboard problem? As there's ppl telling me that i might be the controller chipsets. At this moment i hope that its the keyboard problem as the replacement keyboard cost under RM200. But if its the chipsets, i was told the whole motherboard will need to be replaced.

I wonder if anyone of u have the same problem as me and what's the problem?

It is the keyboard. I just replace my tx vaio keyboard recently. I don't think it is under rm200. It would be over rm200 or much more.

i juz bought vaio cs-16 black color yesterday. hopefully can last long

It would be great if it's only the keyboard's problem. So are your problem similar like me. Can get it sometimes only? Or urs is totally down?

Quite similiar. Once I on the power, Some key will stuck already. Some cont sound. Got 1 or 2 key press no function. Laptop keyboard are very shallow. So got to gentle press. But very hard to control most of us I guess. It is made in china. Can't last long.

i don't think i press them very hard. But tell u all what, this is our 3rd sony vaio lappy, and all of them got the similar keyboard problem. And my gf's A517m are having a green vertical line on the screen. VAIO can really do business with fast sales. haha

Wow, u're really supportive over VAIO huh? I wouldnt even touch the same product brand after facing problems on it, but u still got u're third VAIO, impressive.

another thing, i wanna dual boot it with xp, mana tau i use the xp cd that comes together with my prev hp lappy cannot install wor. haih

ok, just got my keyboard fixed in sony repair centre. Cost me RM333, hopefully nothing comes in again after i changed my battery n keyboard.

There is this problem been bothering me since the 1st day i got my cs, previously i used xp on my notebook and this is the first time got my hands on vista...mine is vista home premium, and whenever i shut down my com, the screen will blinks a few times and goes to the windows background " Please wait" ..then it will goes back to my wallpaper and then to the windows background again, this time is "shutting down" .. my question is that, the screen blinking is normal in vista or my os has some prob? because last time in xp i dint have issues on this..thanks

btw is yours CS13? RAm is 1gb rite? you need atleast 2gb to run vista smoothly..well, that might be the problem..lack of memories.
