dont worry much about vista, if you dealing most with office stuff, no problem. ms office 2003 still works charm, and many more software is going to be friendly with vista.

and gaming, i just try out stalker, no conflict and so on.

the only problem arise, if you do stuff like programming. the compiler is still hard to find the compatibility with vista..

Haha, that was why I quickly grab SZ38 before SZ48 came out. I specifically DID not want Vista... why bother with a new OS when I'm getting the last revision (hopefully) and matured XP Professional! 

Oh, you work with MATLab too!? Cool piece of software... although I find MathCAD more powerful now for solving ODEs and other math problems. Of course, MATLAB can do simulink and other control system problems la.

easy, the sz series is slim and light lappy (with camera built in) while the c series is a lil bit bulky(i mean here is , thick), though both built tough. no worry. all vaio lappy built (casing) made with either carbon fiber or magnesium alloy material.

the theory is easy, the more slim, light lappy with decent performance in term of battery supply, or working with office stuff, the price can be incredibly expensive, even with only integrated gfx.
thats it.

Actually both model is more or less the same...just difference in few specs such as weight, build in microphone n webcam, bigger harddisk size.  If u travel often, it good that u take SZ series cause it's only 1.85kg compare to C series 2.3kg.

Thanks for telling,  I got another question , about the warranty issue.So normally they will set the warranty for 1 year , is it a complete cover ? such as if accidentally drop my laptop , will it cover for that ?

Even my Dell laptop have a thieft warranty incase get stolen. If get stolen, report to police, get the report and send it to Dell. Only cover asia pacific. Just get the full coverage and pay more. So I always put my laptop bag in my car. He..he..he.. Hope can get a new replacement before my warranty expired.

if you "misuse" it, it's out of limited warranty.
you own vaio dude? try read back of warranty card.
nope, i have enough hdd space. anyway, if you intend to change the hdd to large volume, make sure you make the recovery discs, and backup the driver , just in case.
